Though we appear to be close to the same age, I'm quickly tiring of her childish tirade. "Of course I've come to care about some of those that dwell in the Tower. While I don't know if I'll see them again after tomorrow, I will do what I can to keep them safe."
I reach over and grab the bottle of booze in front of Jackdaw, finding myself feeling defensive of Helix's dig at Dinero. "If you keep locking everyone into a role, you'll miss every opportunity to watch them grow, or change - for better or worse. The 'young prince' seems to be changing for the better. I may be changing for the worse." I pour a myself a double, and echoing Canary's earlier toast, "To finding where we belong." I down the drink.
