So, I was playing around with ChatGPT and asked it this question:
Quote:
Generate a 5e campaign idea for students going to a school of wizardry
I liked the response so much, I'd like to find a GM willing to take the following and run with it.

I placed the response in the 1st spoiler spoiler so only those interested or intrigued would need to see the lengthy information that the AI provided. It contains a Campaign synopsis, a Campaign overview, multiple plot hooks, key locations, suggestions for Campaign themes, as well as details for a House system based on the 6 dnd attributes (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma) along with details for Head Instructors/Professors for each house and an area of specialization within each house.

[ +- ] 3. Character Restrictions
[ +- ] 4. Adult Content or Controversial Themes
[ +- ] 5. Game Duration and Post Frequency
[ +- ] 6. Specialized Software and Resources

Edit: my preference would be to have some input as to who gets accepted into the game should one get started. I don't need to know detailed character mechanic specifics, but rather race/class choices.

How old would the characters be? I don't like playing children as in Harry Potter. But if this more of a university I would be fine with it. Seeing some subjects center around things like assassination I assume that's the case but I'd like to be sure.

If so, House Shadowsong appeals to me and dexterity/Illusionism would be my specialization.

I'm well versed in D&D5e and a magic school themed game is something I'm very interested in playing.
I'm not going to be the GM as I would use the Kids on Brooms system if I were to run a game

Oh, right, looking for a DM. I am not looking to fill that role myself either. Sorry.

If you play this as a university, you'd probably can just run Strixhaven. It's an official setting for a mages university. But it has quite a few problems :) And, I'd think a setting like this would run better as a high school or so.

On the mechanics and the houses, I can understand houses for INT WIS and CHA in a magic school. STR, CON and DEX are a bit weird.

@Sardis I liked your idear of asking AI for help making a plot for the game you wanted to play. So I did something similar.

I'm making a similar game, using Kinds on Brooms rules

Cool! Have fun. I've never played or even heard of Kids on Broomsticks.

Well, perhaps every student needs to belong to 2 schools...one physical (STR, DEX, or CON) and one mental (INT, WIS, or CHA); being gestalt, the left side class should be relevant to the physical attribute they represent (and cannot be a casting class) and the right side of their build should be relevant to the mental attribute they represent (and has to be a full casting class).

Regardless of the casting class chosen for the right side (ie: cleric, wizard, sorcerer, druid) they would still be called 'wizards' even if that presents differently depending on the casting class chosen.

Example: my character intends to be a Rogue (Dex)//Sorcerer (CHA) and would belong to both House Shadowsong and House Silvervoice.
As for age of students, that would require a discussion with an eventual GM. I'd prefer early teens (and over the course of the game, aging to and through adulthood) but am flexible on this.

The rules are much, much simpler than 5e

Perhaps, but 5e is the system I'm familiar with (and don't really find it all that difficult? though I've been playing RPGs for 35+ years)...thanks for the heads up though :)

Hello!
I am interested! A few informations about me...
This would be my first campaign here on the platform, I love Harry Potter, I have quite a bit of experience with 5e, and, unfortunately, English isn't my first language... So, please, don't expect literate from me... But hopefully a semi-literate...

For the character, I was planning a Wizard, but... Still trying to figure out the other class...

I hope I've been exhaustive...!

(If you are still looking for a players to create the group... Otherwise...🥲)

Glad to see some additional interest...though, to be clear, I'm looking for a GM to run this game (as I do not possess the necessary skills to pull that role off successfully...I know, as I've tried many times over the years).
