If you have any questions for me you only want me to see and don't want to get lost in direct messaging, like background discussion, post it here. I may do the same.

Here is a question for you. Do you the player have any idea as to the origins of your character's spooky abilities, or is that something you want me to decide?

Also, what kind of home life did she have? Were her parents scared of her or supportive?

Have you read Stephen King Firestarter?

The start of the book 2 broke college students agree to do a medical trial for money. The trail gives them physic powers. They have a kid that had greater powers.

I was thinking something similar.
Parents both did a trail. Nothing happened through.
I had powers as a kid that progressively got stronger as I got older.

That was my sort if idea we can edit it how needed.

I was close with my parents and we lived a normal suburban life. A few months after I turned 18 they both had an accident and died. I was thinking car accident that I was not evolved in. But we can change that also.

I don't read many novels, and as such haven't read that one. I probably should read more.

If I understand correctly:
Parents were loving and supporting
Powers came from an unexpected side effect of parents being part of a medical experiment in college that they thought lead to nothing
Parents died in a car wreck

I saw in your post in case one your character 's birthday happened in 2006. That would make her 17 if my math is not wrong. Is she supposed to be 17 or 19?

Everything is right.

I wasn't sure what year this was based in.
I just picked a date. 6/6/6 for fun.

I can change it.

The game takes place in modern day by default, meaning cell phones and the Internet are a thing, but supernatural things tend not to play with technology well. Technology might spazz out, fail to detect it, or even become warped or modified. For example, a person attacked by a werewolf might find all cameras that witnessed the event show only static when the werewolf would be on screen, of it might look like a normal wolf attacked, not a werewolf.

[ +- ] Telepathy
Questions!
I have Telepathy (seen above). If I were to use it on Seth or Ajay would they feel it?
Is it an always on thing? or is it something I have to focus to have it work?

Like we have a 45min car ride. Do I hear their thoughts the whole car ride?
Do I need to roll anything to try and listen to what others are thinking?

Does it have a Radius? Is it louder the closer I am to someone?

Games like MotW typically use the mindset of "if it doesn't specify, the game master decides". I'd say you can choose to use it, but if you want to hear information that applies to the investigate a mystery or read a bad situation or to manipulate someone, that is an active choice you have to make, and if you fail the roll, I'd say the person becomes suspicious that their thoughts can be heard by someone. Perhaps they hear your voice in their head go "huh, interesting" before you realize you did that.

As far as the car ride, as you all know each other i'd say you can hear their thoughts but they probably know you can do that and you would know if they would be upset if you did that. Simply hearing basic thoughts is free, but rolling to get something useful is probably a manipulate someone roll.

Keep in mind that the move does not say you use weird instead of sharp or cham, so you still use sharp to investigate a mystery or read a bad situation or charm to manipulate someone, you can just do so in a way no one else can.

As for a radius, I'd say "if you can see them or they are hostile and nearby, you can use it"

Gotcha. Thank you. Sorry for the line of questions.

No, it's good to ask the questions. If you assume something I don't agree with, we might have a more annoying back and forth later. I'm a big proponent of setting expectations earlier when you can

With that said, the idea of MotW is that you will need to figure out the monster, what it wants, what it can do, and how to kill it. in 95% of mysteries, it always comes down to a fight, so unless a monster's weakness is being outsmarted or it is so great a threat that the only way to defeat it is with big magic, you will eventually have a brawl to the death at the end of every mystery. That said, sometimes monsters will attack before you know how to defeat them, so you have to decide if you want to run or delay running to learn more about it at the risk of harm.

I'll explain how healing works after someone gets hurt, but in short it is hard to heal without moves that heal, but you heal 1 harm after each fight if you take time to do first aid.
