Your level up looks good. You took the slayer adventurer feat as your incremental advance. Humans get 2 feats at level 1 instead of 1 like all other races, and everyone gets an additional feat at level 2, so you should have 3. Your character sheet looks like you only have 2. Did you want to keep the slayer adventurer feat, or go with something else instead?

I have 3 talents and 3 feat it looks like to me.

Strongheart Unstoppable Slayer

Didnt add the text for slayer feat.

Fixed it

I had a neat idea of grafting the hearts of powerful enemies together, some sort of god weapon, or perhaps Strongheart is a destiny and he grafts the hearts of slain dragons to his own? Through divine magic, by way of the priestess. Part of his being the son of the war god.
Dec 27, 2023 1:24 pm
Are you thinking of this as you getting magic items more from your own creation than as ones you find or are given by a representative of the priestess?

Also, I feel a little uncomfortable with the visual of Hrafe ripping out hearts and wearing them or putting them in things he holds. Blood is one thing but ripping out hearts feels a little farther than I am comfortable with
Dec 27, 2023 10:52 pm
I was thinking more along the lines of "heart of stone" that he has them grafted to his own heart.

Or offers them for power to the light, going the Lucifer route.

I am very flexible.

The Akkalat speak of a man born under the sign of the serpent who grows strong enough to devour the dragon, and from there the entire cosmos. Of course what this can mean is a mulitude of things

Perhaps he is able to collect blood and purify it and make a stone out of it. He gives it to the priestess and he doesn't know what she does with it but seems to accept them.

Just something to keep in mind, the game encourages the game master that the amount of face to face time player have with icons directly is based on tier. In Tier 1, you may meet an icon once ever, and maybe just briefly. 99% of the time you are dealing with people that work under them. In your case with the priestess, her priests would be the one you talk to. When you enter champion tier, you might get a formal meeting with the icon, but mostly just the 1 and probably not right away just for entering champion tier. In Epic tier, that's when an icon is likely to talk with you on the regular. You are as powerful as a non-icon can be. And keep in mind that icons are like 15th level PCs, while PCs max out at 10th level.

Works for me.

Culturally the Akka and Ukko himself would be more concerned with the volume of blood shed.

I've just had the thought:

What if what we discussed about the blood power was for Glaezentorg?
Jan 4, 2024 4:19 am
What did you have in mind?
Jan 4, 2024 7:01 am
I was thinking like mixing the axe Lifedrinker, 9 Lives Stealer, some kind of bane effect.
Jan 4, 2024 12:45 pm
As far as I can tell, a weapon isn't supposed to become multiple weapons in one. It is supposed to go up in tier and thus mostly just get a better bonus to hit. Not sure about one weapon eventually having Glaezentorg's, 9 lices stealer's, and lifedrinker's effects all at once

Perhaps giving the blood to other equipment might "awaken" then to go from mundane to magical, like awakening you armor. Eventually players should have a few magic items, but no two of the same type because the have overlapping chakras (the game says each magic item is slightly alive and only works for a player if it is their favorite of that item, so if you had Glaezentorg and another weapon only Glaezentorg would work because it is your favorite and the other would not want to work for you because it is not your favorite)

Oh i mustve misunderstood. It seems like magic items are meant to tier up and gain additional abilities frm the SRD.

So I was thinking:
Adventurer Tier: +damage based on escalation die
Champion Tier: healing based on damage dealt
Epic Tier: a limited wish granted on x number of kills

As this is similar to the format presented for magical weapons on the SRD.

I want to make sure we are on the same page. Glaezentorg already has a magic effect.
Recharge 11+:
When you hit with an attack using this weapon that staggers or drops an enemy, make another melee attack that turn as a free action.

The weapon isn't supposed to get the effect of a second weapon on top of that. Instead you are supposed to get magic armor, and then magic gloves, then magic helmet, etc. when you get to lv 5, you might be able to find a smith who can increase Glaezentorg bonus to attack and damage rolls from +1 to +2, and then +3 at lv 8.

Hey, I was looking at your stats because I was having the Ankheg attack you, and I want to ask a thing or two.

I assume you are wearing light armor and a shield, sense I see a steel shield in your inventory and I assume you don't want a penalty to your attacks by wearing better armor.

This would mean your AC is 13 (12 from armor, +1 from shield) + 2 (middle of dex, con, wis) + 2 (level). I see you have 12 instead of 13, but then I see a +2 in other. What is the +2 from?

For PD, I see 12 as the base instead of 11, and a +1 in other.

I also see 11 in your base for MD, when it should be 10

Can you help me understand?

I think I might have edited the fields of the sheet by hand then after levelling up it messed up the values.
Jan 17, 2024 1:34 pm
Looks good, thank you for checking

Just want to make sure we are on the same page. What does your background mean when you say "warrior poet". Warrior is much more broad than gladiator or mercenary or knight of the emperor. Backgrounds should be more of a specific profession or experience you had that would clearly lend to a skill set. A poet is a profession, but adding warrior in front of that suddenly makes it too broad again. It makes me think of either a japanese samurai that writes haikus or a european gentleman with a rapier that waxes poetically while thrusting his weapon.

In short, what kind of warrior are you saying you are, so that we know what your character actually knows how to do what what makes sense they would not?
Jan 26, 2024 9:09 pm
I was thinking Sun Tzu, a warrior poet, it sounds much less aggrandized than Glorious Strategist.
Jan 26, 2024 10:14 pm
I'm not too familiar with him. He's the guy who wrote the art of war, right?

If that is the case, I'm going to interpret Warrior Poet to be "War Strategist". That would mean it comes up when understanding the enemy comes up, and maybe some basic climbing and swimming. Sound good?
Jan 27, 2024 12:10 am
He, or most probably they, wrote the art of war. Sun Tzu means glorious strategist.

I actually quoted the book in the post.

Hrafe represents the faith militant. A zealous warrior who leads with his head rather than his heart.
Jan 27, 2024 12:34 am
Ok, I think I understand. For the purpose of the game, I do still need to know what the boundaries of the background are. Would it be right to interpret Warrior Poet to be "War Strategist" like I said above?
