Home Run, or just Run

Simply known now as Run, before the outbreak Jimmy Larsson was widely known as Home Run.

Prior to his short career with the Boston Red Sox, he was considered an up and comer, with the Memphis Redbirds and from his very first appearance hit Ball after Ball out of the park. He was soon snapped up by the Red Sox, acquiring fame and a huge contract overnight. He had returned to his parents home in near Memphis to pack up his belongings and move to Boston and before he even got his first big paycheck, the world turned to hell.

Stuck in Memphis, now all Run has is his trusty bat, running shoes and a bitter taste for the money he never got, the point it's turned into an obsession, to get that big paycheck and finally get into the right side of the Recession.

Now he hits heads instead of balls and when the need arises, he runs.

Weak spot : Obsession with Money
Soft Spot: Protecting the weak (Since discovering his immunity, he has done his best to protect others, particularly those smaller than himself, and often puts him and his bat in the face of danger to defend others.)
Tough Spot: Immune
+Genetic Lottery: Can't be infected
-Meal Ticket: Living Body is worth 5 bounty per permanently harvested hit box

Do your crew mates know your immune?

Depends how much I trust them. If I've known them 6 months, I'll confide, otherwise they just think I'm lucky, and a fast runner.

I have some small level of fame so people may know me from before the outbreak.

Yeah that may come into play when we talk about retirement plans. Because you're recognizable, it could be tougher for you to get into the Recession.

My character will probably recognize you. I've decided they will be a baseball fan lol. It's almost September so I like this theme.

Potentials:
Str 3
Spd 3
ADP 1
Int 1
Cha 2
Wil 1

OK here goes with skills..

Unarmed 2
Melee 3
Spec Baseball Bat: 1
Resistance 2
Shoot 1
Athletics 3
Awareness 1
Selfcontrol 1
Scavenging 1
Foresight 1

Intimidation:2
Leadership 2

I hope I've understood this correctly. I thought about the possibilty of a specialisation for melee, perhaps to help in hitting moving targets (not bullets obvs, but maybe other projectiles like knives. Wasn't sure if that might be profession or a melee spec) Please let me know your advise and if I need to change anything.

Profession is more about like actual technical skills. I think it makes plenty of sense to have melee specialization in bat or club or whatever makes sense. I think athletics covers throwing things like baseballs or whatever. have you determined your potentials yet? Your skills can't exceed the corresponding potential.

EDIT: Never mind... Missed the first post

Everything else seems fine

As I have a Charisma of 2, I gather I need two dependants, so as his parents seem an obvious choice, would that work?

Okay so I reread the skills section and I think I misunderstood specialization. It's not like a bonus. It's for stuff that wouldn't be covered by just having the skill. Like for you, Melee should be fine for swinging a bat, but if it was something out of the ordinary that requires skill like a sword or a spear you would need a specialization.

I also reread the Profession skill and Though I could see the argument for Baseball Player, it's still a skill governed by INT so I still think you're probably covered by having Melee and Athletics.

OK, I was thinking more associated with hitting a moving target (akin to a ball) like knives or such so giving me a bonus to that, but if you feel what I have already, that's fine.

I'll use the extra point on First Aid

That's what I thought too, but apparently it's just to overcome a barrier that would bar you from using the skill at all. Like just because you have general skill at hitting things with some kind of implement, doesn't mean you are at all proficient in using nunchucks or swords which requires training specifically in using that tool.
