How does our party distribute treasure?

I've seen several ways. Let's talk about that. Feel free to vote and/or comment in this thread.

We talk about it, case by case.

We split the money and give the items for the PC that will make the best use of it

The GM checks the value (in credits) of the treasure. Players receive equal shares, specially of the monetary rewards. Regarding items, players can "buy" itens that are part of the loot, reducing the cost from their shares. If nobody wants that item, it's sold. If more than one player wants it, they talk about that.

The GM checks the value (in credits) of the treasure. A percentage (ex: 20%) of it is kept as a "party share" and used by somebody (a "ship's captain" of a sort) to improve and repair the ship, resupply consumables, food, lazarus patches and other miscellaneous stuff. The remainder is distributed, as above.

By the way, are you going to have a "Ship Captain/Party leader"?

I think we should have a Ship Captain, not a leader, but someone responsible for piloting the ship. But if anyone wants to be a leader that's not a problem for me, but it will not be Adeon haha

Oh, you have a skilled pilot. Actually two.

But a captain is someone that is usually responsible for the ship and the crew. It's different from an Ace or a Helmsman, that just tries to be the best pilot and that's very comfortable in its seat.

Some groups have a Captain, some don't. They can also be the pilot, or not. They can be the diplomat / "the face", or not. There are no right or wrong answers there.

I think we could start the adventure without that kind of "hierarchy", as you guys said we have some people for the different roles in the ship, such as helmsman, but we can start without a leader, and if in due time someone falls into that role, so be it.

i can be the ship captain, but not the leader, i mean the ship can be just like Appa of Avatar, it would be my responsability to not destroy it and this kind of stuff, cause i am a Pilot. my destiny is to Pilot. hahaha

and i also agree with arthur, and i'd like to fufill the role of the captain

Results: Okay! No formal leader for now, that's unanimous.

As the votes for treasure are spread all around, we can check again how to split the treasure when we have a treasure to split.

There is actually a way to create an extra character sheet here in Gamersplane for a shared fund and crew items. No need for an external app.

But to start that, it would need to be taken from your individual credits. How much do you want to donate? One donation of 500 each? Recurring donations with 20% of whatever you get from now on?

I would be ok with the 500 from each, kind of a set-aside money from our first earnings, would work as a insurance, and specially when we have "ship costs" those would make sense to come out of a shared fund.

I'm with @arthur12320 on this one. I feel like we should keep some sort of insurance money because that can prevent us from problems if any character ends up with no money when needed.

Okay! You should now see another character sheet near your rolls section, with the shared stuff.

Let me know if it is working. That's read-only, but everyone will be able to see it and I will keep it up to date.
