Did the body suddenly appear or was it always there?

Also, the voice that said Myron died was heard by just us, or also the crowd?

The body did not appear it was found by the performer, it was somewhat hidden behind the curtains, the crowd was there because someone found the body and suddenly everyone approach to see it with their own eyes. The voice that said Myron is dead is one of the performer hearing people were looking for Myron, it is an information given for everyone.

Sorry, I mean, the announcement that Myron is dead wasn't heard by the townies who want to see the show?

I am slightly dyslexic and English is not my first language, so I have two tools/browser addons that I use
1: Grammarly offers spelling and grammar corrections as I am making these posts2: When I am tired and I'm faced with a wall of text, then I sometimes use the Firefox extension Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader that will read a selected text aloud at a speed that I set.

@testlum No, you are all behind the curtain, the public do not see you and the noise is quite loud onthe other side. Beside he did not scream he spoke loudly, only people around him at about 5 feet were able to listen.

There is no requirement for anyone to be ring leader a NPC can do it. And you can all be performer in the show if you want, it is not required to have any of the NPC listed.

In term of job I associates Ring Leader with Clown Coordinator? The list of crew job is on Rules->Circus Management 4th post.

So if I understand it right, Oboth and Martha would both be attempting the Coaster trick to help other performers, which means using the Aid action while the performer does their act.

Wait, no, the Coaster trick is for a performer helping another performer. That means Animal Handler for Oboth, and Martha would probably have been Carnival Barker but the show already started. So I guess she can try out being a Backup Clown.

Questions:

1. +1 Acrobatics trait means that a trick has +1 DC and is rolled using Acrobatics by the performer?

2. Do we start with 20 Anticipation for this show?

No, it means that the performer get a +1 to dice for an acrobatics check (it is a bonus)

Nope you start with 1 Prestige and 15 Anticipations.

I haven't spotted anything yet, but I would be very uncomfortable with a GM altering my posts. I have left games before due to an aggressive GM editor

I think we're starting to stall here. Martha is fine with any order of performance, including the one Rhea suggested. Anybody have a different idea?

If not, I say we go forward with her plan.

It is what I ask, does everyone agree with the plan or someone has other suggestion. I put a poll, it will be easier for decisions like these.

@yullybear you've mentioned the Overture a couple times, but I don't see it in your post of the show format. You've just got the finale being three tricks. It's this an additional fifth component, or one of the three finale tricks?

It is explained in the rules on Circus Management, also I changed the name when I posted (silly me)

The show is divided in 4 acts and includes 7 tricks :

Act 1. Opener -- 1 trick, designed to capture the crowed attention.
Act 2. Build-up -- 2 tricks, design to impress the crowed
Act 3. Big Number -- 1 trick, focus of the entire show
Act 4. Finale -- 3 tricks, presenting a dazzling spectacle of all the circus has to offer.

That's a shame, I still think the premise is pretty nice. For what it's worth, I'm still willing to give it a go with 3 players, but it is of course up to you.

3 players may be a little short, if we could get a fouth, it will be fine.

I have a hard time with the introduction and the show which is a part of the first scene, may be I should introduce this first show as an example and use the result in the game that will cut all the problem of choosing for the show.

I am doing a last try for a fourth player, during its creation we cn finish choosing how to put the show together.

I wasn't sure how big a part of the game the circus performances would be, or how often. Not a big deal, it just wasn't clear.
Also, there are a lot of forum pages. Can be hard to navigate and find info.

This is the only required circus performance, otherwise there is a performance a week that will be played on a specific topic.

I tryed to keep information as simple as I could. All the rules about the circus are in Rules->Circus Management, every PC and NPC elements and Week Preparation & Performances will be in Circus Management & Shows. So far there are only PC and NPC tricks.

@Yullybear since it is the first show, it makes sense Thunder would have made arrangements and told the other circus folk the show plan already before he died. So that can give you a way to demonstrate how it works, with us following his plans, instead of choosing our own order.

I have played a little PF1.

I was thinking of playing a Knife Juggler/Thrower.

@testlum No, because there will be some surprise depending who you choose, it ishow the scenario is written. The good news is we have until we get the new player ready to figure out what to choose. And by the way each difficulty solved will be rewarded by some xp.

I was thinking of playing Ratfolk Knife Juggler/Thrower.

I'm not sure what class would be best. Thinking between Alchemist, Bard, Rogue, & Summoner.

I thought my character and Litta Straw could play the whole Cat and Mouse bit.

By the way, this isn't exactly a Free Archetype game. Yullybear has provided a list of accepted starting archetypes but it doesn't include bard iirc.

That was my fault, Bard archetype Polymath is a Core Rule Archetype, so it is fair game.

Voted on the show order. I suggest to have a separate thread for polls under the main story next time, otherwise it might be hard to follow the story later.

I planned to do all circus thread in a "Circus Management & Shows" since it is an "on the side" game.

I'm not concerned about the show order (not for this first one anyway), other than I'd like to highlight as many PC acts as possible

Ok gang we get our last player AbbyssalChimera, I closed the inscriptions welcome to all.

I am working on my character, trying to figure out the 2E template and where to enter stuff. A quick heads up, but I will be playing Vespera Luminosa, an elven tiefling, a Champion of Shelyn. Between her using a Glaive (reach), Retributive Strike, and Lay on Hands, she can help our front line mitigate some damage, while contributing to our over all damage. Lay on Hands will help for out of combat healing, without relying on Medicine checks.

She will focus on Performance (with a possible Bard dedication in her future), Deception, Acrobatics and Athletics. So a team player, possible party face, depending on the other characters skill focus. I am thinking she might take on the role of Ringmaster, but that would be a long way off.

Right now I am trained (I think ) in all skills besides Lore, Athletics, Religion and Society.

@Zeroprime May I know what you are playing as? The Shelyn tiefling champion mentioned above?

That is correct yes. I have posted my Trick and am now posting in the Main Thread trying to lure these dwarves into center stage to make them part of the show (hopefully!)

I think we can try to encourage him. It'll probably make the show less effective if we're down an act. Does Litta, Giccicero or Gray want to take point on this one?

@Gicero: Kill 3 snakes in a single throw ? Even if you could try to hit 3 in a swing (which is not possible), they are still faster than you.
