Hisashiro
Hisashiro is a suburban city that faces the Pacific Ocean. It has a population of 200,000. It takes 90 minutes to get from there to Tokyo via Japan Rail. The city boasts an excellent fishing harbour, but modernisation has turned the harbour into a major port that brings cargo ships with goods from overseas. This has been a point of tension about retaining the culture of the city among it's older generations. The city has a fairly robust transportation system, and most people get around by bus or train.

Also, when the Scouring happened 16 years ago, people witnessed a massive pillar of flame in the mountain district to the north. Hisashiro has numerous leylines of various sizes, so the various Awakened organizations are likely doing all manner of magical rituals here. That would explain why the several Awakened organizations have branches here, which are constantly monitoring the city from behind the scenes.

Mountain District
This mountainous area gives a stunning view of the whole of Hisashiro City. At it's centre is Mt Myoken, the sacred mountain, a sight of a Buddhist temple and a place of worship. According to awakened folklore, the mountain itself used to be some kind of mononoke that the awakened sealed many years ago.

Other notable locations in the mountain district are Mitsurugi Manor, an exorcist stronghold in the form of a traditional Japanese manor, and Myoken Shrine, a Shinto shrine to the kami to avoid the mountain being corrupted. Moving on front the mountain, a thick forest covers the lower hills. It includes the towns main reservoir, along with a small getaway area with a spa and hotspring inn. Further on from that is Shirin Park around which luxury homes begin to be visible.

Business District
A small business district to the north of Sengi station. Not many of the buildings here are owned by large companies, but rather multiple small business stake their claim here. One of the main malls of the city, Sengi mall is situated here, along with the towns only technical high school Itsutsunomiya, renowned for it's traditional practice.
