First there are the estate's own outer walls, encircling both the mansion itself and the extensive gardens that surround it. A handful of house guards (not Flaming Fist) greet the group at the gate. "Halt a moment, if you please. What business have you with Grand Duke Silv-"
Aldous steps forward and waves an exuberant hand. "Hail, Carlisle! Has it been so long that you don't you recognize your own Duke's wayward son?"
The guards all start at the sight of the young noble, red hair a fair bit longer than when he left all those months ago. "Lord Aldous! It is good to see you return! Duke Entar will be ecstatic to see you up and walk...ing..." Carlisle trails off as he notices Aldous' frog-leg. "Um... Well, I'm sure you want to carry on inside and show him yourself."
Aldous winces slightly at the thought of that eventuality. "Right you are, Carlisle! We've a few tales to tell Father." He pointedly takes Stella's hand and leads her up the garden path to the mansion, motioning for the rest of the group to follow. "These friends of mine will be staying with us for a time, and are free to come and go from the estate as they wish."
As the group proceeds through the gardens, Aldous waves to a few servants tending the grounds. One of them, a middle-aged woman, puts a hand to her mouth in surprise, then grabs her skirts and runs ahead to the mansion, no doubt to give the household news of Aldous' return.
"Oh, you'll love our reading lounge, Stella. We've a fair library ourselves, you know. And Dieter! Our head cook is among the best, but I think even he could stand to learn something from you and your spices!" Aldous carries on the conversation as they approach the front door. Just before he can move to open the door, however, it flies open and a young woman emerges to tackle Aldous in a hug.
