In 5e most spells are designed to only hurt creatures. This list of spells is probably helpful to those who want to try to damage objects by magic.

@thorsman99 please read that again, I'm going to stay consistent with this ruling. Ray of frost can't target cauldron or destroy an object. You will need to throw/hurl/swing/etc something at it

The spell list is about damaging a carried or worn object but we are applying it to all objects? That means spells like Spiritual Weapon and Eldritch Blast don't damage objects like cauldrons even though they are force magic if I understand you correctly so I guess I go try to beat on it.

The list is just a useful resource. What I ask you is to read your spell description. Fire bolt say

While Eldritch Blast for example say
