Character Creation

Some notes for character creation. As a reference, the first step is picking our characters ancestry. The options we have are;

- Paragon - An inheritor of mystical power, maybe the descendent of a mighty god or the reincarnation of an ancient hero for example.
- Nightstalker - An inheritor of supernatural power, for example the descendent of a vampire or demon.
- Hanyou - A half demon from one of the hanyou clans, who can use their demon powers for exorcisms.
- Magus - The descendent of a mage family, powerful users of magic.
- Natural - A normal human who awakened, often through hard work and training.

I just uploaded my character as well.

Mechanically she is complete. The core idea of the backstory is on the sheet, but I still need to work a lot on that.
Between art and skills I guess the concept should be quite obvious. Hope I did everything right, I got the PDF only earlier today and haven't read it yet.

The character is a bit less pure movement based as I originally worked at and is now more a mixed melee fighter with still lots of mobility I think. She is a Nightstalker / Slayer Alpha+Beta / Warrior.

I want to make my character from a family that hunts gods, with traditions, etc. She will be around 21 years. She knows of the Kami but not much. I like the idea that her family/clan has an old dojo in Hisashiro.

I like my character to be a bit more of an outsider.
Like from the rural area just near Hisashiro. Going to the city for school/college and lots of stuff, but living with her Nightstalker family just secluded a bit outside of town. At a distance which is far enough for some privacy but close enough to travel within say 30 minutes.

Okay, question 2; Does your character work for the OSI, contract with the OSI but belong to a private exorcist group or not work with the OSI at all?

The Office of Spiritual Investigation (OSI): A government branch in charge of ensuring no damage is done to infrastructure or the public by Mononoke, Aramitama or Exorcists.

She is 20-21 years old and knows of non-awakened martial arts. What stat is this? I find only the "Martial Mastery" for the Natural class.

The dojo and her house are on the same building / site. She does help in the dojo and is a substitute teacher for when her father cannot teach. Both her parents know about the Kami and her clan has a history with them, but she is still fresh and does not know much about the Kami and how much of influence they have on our world.

I have the character ready, I just left some stats out for now because I was not sure where to add them on the sheet. I forgot my notes at my hometown and I will be away till Tuesday, if it's a problem waiting I will redo the rest of the sheet.

Kasumi is a 24 year old Miko at the Shrine to Amaterasu Omikami in town. She has been an apprentice at the shrine from a young age (6-7) and has been training to be a Kamikagakari since she was 16.

That seems about average. I usually lose one person during setup every other game. Nature of pbp and having to remember to log in regularly I guess.
