I am a fan of the book series, have watched the recent TV series, and have had the RPG gamebook in my possession for some time, but haven't had opportunity to use it all that often. I'd love the opportunity to dust it off and explore this amazing world once again.

Unless leveling will occur more frequently than once ever 4-6 months I'd like the game to start in the 6th-10th level range (as any game that I have previously played in via PBP hasn't gotten past 4th-5th). I would like it if each player started with a Lost Ability feat (and the required Latent feat for it). I'd also request a stat array of 18, 16, 14, 12, 10. The only other request I have would be that the PC's all be Ta'varen (or become Ta'varen). Preferred party size 4-6.

I'm looking for a game that takes place in an age outside of that which is covered by the books such that the characters from the book series are not found within the game (unless this takes place after the book series and the legends of their exploits are known) or, if it does take place during the same era it does not involve cannon character's directly. I have plenty of ideas for possible campaigns in this setting, but will leave it up to the prospective GM to come up with something on their own or ask me what ideas I might have/suggest.

As for a character I'd like to play, it will depend on the game...I have plenty of ideas...ranging from an Ogier Woodsman/Wardens of the Green and/or Master Treesinger to an Aes'Sedai (or an Asha'man if taking place in a pre or post madness era) to a Friend of the Dark (for a game where the PC's play the bad guys - FotD is found in Under the Dragon's Banner) to a Wolfbrother .

Usable material:

The Wheel of Time RPG
Under the Dragon's Banner (an online Netbook)
Age of Illusion (an online Netbook)

Is this the D20 version based on, like D&D 3e, or is there another?
You mentioned feats and stat arrays, so it must be. Close reading for the win!

LOL ... I would LOVE to play in this game. The challenge I guess is finding the book and refreshing myself on the old 3.5 system :-P

I am most certainly down if this gets off the ground.

Might I suggest the game take place (time-wise) prior to the Dragon Reborn being born on the slopes of (oh my gosh I can't remember) the Dragonmount? Like more or less during the New Spring era (if anyone has read that book).

@seuss

Glad to see some interest! I'm up for pretty much anything...just want to be out from under the Shadow of the cannon characters.

Would be very interested in playing. Loved the book series. Would love to play a lucky, gambling, roguish character like Matrim. Just downloaded the pdf of the rpg looks pretty awesome.

Question is, where can I find the books in question? Don't appear to be for sale anymore.

I know it can be gotten through scribd

Scribd is free for 30 days, then 12.99/month

A bit expensive for a game book though, given you only have access to Scribd materials while you are a subscriber to the service.

Worst case scenario there is a Saga Edition conversion available online as well as a 5e conversion available online. Both wouldn't have the breadth of options that the original + the online networks would provide...unless a prospective GM was willing to go through a conversion of those materials as well (only the portions used, of course).

There's a Genesys version of Wheel of Time as well. Probably doesn't help if you want to use your 3.5 book that's been lying around collecting dust though lol.

One does wonder what he other 11 legends are doing while the whole world is transfixed on the dragon.
