A List of Named Colors?

I love color codes.

They’re even better with six colors.

But what I’d really like to know is how many colors I can enter by name. I know of pink, orange, gold, beige, tan, brown, indigo, lavender, violet and magenta (which seems identical to fuchsia). And I know I can make my own colors with hex codes (and that Dark Mode does funny things to them, too).

Anyway, is there a list of all of the named colors that work on this site? —preferably in color, so I can immediately see which colors look good in Dark Mode?

Adam has a guide that shows an image I often reference. I don't know if it is an exhaustive list, but it will give you a lot to work with. You can see how it translates between Light and Dark mode as well.

The Guide.

This might also be useful.

Thanks. That’s very helpful! (And it’s nice to see oranges and blues that look good in Dark Mode.)

Not exactly what you asked for, but related: If you add ;background-color: transparent; to the name of the color, it won't change between light and dark mode.
