No idea what "DM material subforum" is?

My Character is about 90% done if you want to look it over. Still haven't decided on male or female. Was a hunter or huntress. :)

Not being a STR character, I went with Marceen the Huntress.

So far I have been making time to read your backstories and everyones stuff is good.

Obviously this is a one-shot so I will do my best to tailor things as needed but what I find is that backstories are generally good to help me work out how I can word things to interest the motivations for each character.

my backstory doesn't really matter much unless you want an excuse to have an NPC that wants to hunt down a PC for being a "traitor", since he went to the hobgoblin college of devastation and ran away because he hated being bossed around. if you don't, feel free to focus on other characters.

I am just waiting for @GeneCortess to post an introduction before moving forward. He seems to have disappeared for a few days which is very out of character for him

I am going to give it to the end of my work day for Gene. Hope all is well for him, I will just have his character be "in the background" if/when he comes back and he can decide if he wants to "pop" back in or not

on another note I am experimenting with using Bag of Mapping for my battle maps.

Thoughts on switching out of OtFBM's into this format? It does require me to do more desktop edits vs phone edits but it is kind of cool

I'm good with experimenting. I encourage DMs to experiment, especially with what they control.

I might see if it stays feasible to use this new tool. I like the visuals aspect, and it is pretty easy to use.

I just might need to switch back if things start not working out.

Orfbm is convenient though not easy. GP does help with the [map] tag, but still can take a few minutes to update a couple character actions

yeah but I can do that on mobile. I think that is what really makes me like it. but yeah, it isn't easy to just KNOW what you are doing will work without constantly hitting preview sometimes

@WhiteDwarf that action is more like a spell than anything. When you do that, feel free to roll your damage in the same turn you declare the action as well.

@annex I think by the description that is where you want the Hungar of Hadar.

@quilltid what does the dice have against you? crits landed on you in the first round of combat...two combats in a row

Are we using strict turn order or if 2 PCs are up next does turn order not matter?

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the sudden notice but I have to leave the game. My life has gotten a lot busier and I have not been as responsible as I need to be. As such I will be ending my activity on gamersplane so that I can free up the time I need.

This decision has nothing to do with what anyone has done. The reason above is not an excuse to avoid any conflict. I bit off more than I can chew and so I need to focus more of my time as a husband and father. Perhaps one day I can return to the site, but if so I cannot say when. If my spot will be filled by someone else I fully understand and hope they can commit more to the game than I have been able to.

Thank you for the good times and fun games. I pray for all of your healths and that you enjoy any game you can be a part of.
