Rolls
Race roll - (1d12)
(10) = 10
Background roll - (1d6, 1d6)
1d6 : (4) = 4
1d6 : (1) = 1
Ability scores - (3d6, 3d6, 3d6, 3d6, 3d6, 3d6, 3d6)
3d6 : (645) = 15
3d6 : (354) = 12
3d6 : (555) = 15
3d6 : (232) = 7
3d6 : (153) = 9
3d6 : (662) = 14
3d6 : (226) = 10
It looks like you got Dwarf, Kennelman with War Dog - interesting! As you have a very nice rolls there, no rising anything to 13 or 15, as you got planty of them. Roll rolls match exactly to those attributes: Str, Dex, Con, Int, Perc, Will and Cha . So Str and Con are the highest so far.
No you can swap two attributes scores and choose your class.
Then create your PC by using the newest sheet template I posted recently and submit it to the game, please. With fields filled with above values.
Str: 15; Dex:12, Con:15, Int:7, Per:9, Will:14, Cha:10
I think I will switch Will and Dex to allow my background +1 to increase modifier and stay with Barbarian (the concept I had in IC thread) but the story will change. Will develop that later through world building (adding mountain dwarf clans to the picture perhaps)
Final: Str: 15; Dex:15, Con:15, Int:7, Per:9, Will:12, Cha:10
Rolling skills
Rolls
Skils - (1d10, 1d10, 1d10)
1d10 : (5) = 5
1d10 : (7) = 7
1d10 : (3) = 3
Rolls
Age - (1d20+16)
(5) + 16 = 21
but background and stuff to come yet
- I can see that you have modified the code for calculating max HP, so now it's correct(17) - just wanted to let you know, that in provided by me sheet, the field "HP per level:" should be 2 - as Barbarian have 2 multiplayer by it's level, so it would count correctly with previous code. Not a problem in general, just wanted to let you know how it was intended to work,
-In final rules there is change to:
so now in field "AC Bonus" you should write 3 (of course there was no way for you to know that earlier),
- "Class Attack Bonus" for Barbarian level 1 is 1:
so please, correct that too.
- there are also slight changes to:
- after above changes I will check your weapon stats calculation,
- the rest look ok,
- will you be rolling for Party Bonds?
- have you been thinking about your "Unique Feature bonus for going old school" choice already?
-Great Axe as Two handed weapons takes 2 slots in inventory,
I'm trying to tailor the sheet for +2 Luck while raging, not sure I made it right because I seem to be loosing min() when trying to roll it from sheet
I've made both luck and weapons table to have to rows - one normal and another for rage.
I missed "Unique Feature bonus for going old school" will take a loot at it later
Rolls
Party bound - (1d6, 1d6)
1d6 : (2) = 2
1d6 : (3) = 3
I just realized that using "Secret history" I can introduce the aspect into my PC background I had in the recruitment -
In case of weapons it looks correct, but the crit damage is not calculated correctly(for rage). I will also mod it in template.
Bounds: yes! You are right. I didn't read the chapter about it. We will do it in common thread then.
UF: Secret history certainly works for me! It's not too strong. You get one additional background and besides the skill it could help you with some rolls. So what background are you choosing?
Secret background would be thief.
Thief: so please, add Traps & Locks to your skills, write down this additional background and... I think I could let you have Lockpicks in your equipment if you want.
What about your War Dog? Any backstory to it? It has stats as wolf. It is indeed a dog, or something else? There are certainly dogs in this settings so it can be a dog, but we can change it to something with more flavor.
I also don't understand how I switch weapon between rage and not rage. Should I edit two fields:
from
Temp: To Hit bonus: 0 | Damage bonus: 0
to
Temp: To Hit bonus: 2 | Damage bonus: 2
I prefer to have two table records than editing my sheet 3 times (it jumps/refresh formulas every time I edit)
War Dog: since it comes with background Kennelman it's obviously a shepherd dog helping me in the royal kennel, not a mountain wolf.
Rolls
Luck (With temp luck+2) - Str - (15, d20)
15 : () + 15 = 15
d20 : (11) = 11
Luck Without temp luck) - Str - (13, d20)
13 : () + 13 = 13
d20 : (7) = 7
- as in ToA the roll is under TN, when you roll such in your above post you only look at two final numbers:
If the lower one (actual roll result) is equal or less the one above - you succeed. If other way around you didn't. Thats it.
Yes, you would have to edit those 2 fields for weapons to input your rage changes. If you prefer two rows instead: I have no problem with that, as long as general layout of sheet will be kept. I just hope the sheet will be fast readable for everyone and easy to use for You:)
Shepherd dog that is! Please note it on your sheet.
Could you help me with "stats as wolf"? What is the meaning of:
4#4
HD 1+2
Reac 2-4 Hostile 5-6 Hungry 7-8 Cagey 9-10 Sniffing curiously 11-12 Friendly.
Should I roll 1d8+2 now to have my dog's hit points, ignore 4#4 and leave Reac for your info?
P.S. Will get back to my backstory details later
#4d4 - means the number for GM to roll how many of the creatures may appear in the wilderness, so you ignore it for now.
HD 1+2 - it means creature's Hit Dice, in ToA it's always d8. So please roll d8+2 to check how many HP your dog will have. As I imagine it as well fed and trained -> if the result will be 4 or less, please re-roll.
Reac 2-4 Hostile 5-6 Hungry 7-8 Cagey 9-10 Sniffing curiously 11-12 Friendly. - it's also for GM, to check wild monster reaction in random encounter situation. Please ignore, for your dog.
"Should I roll 1d8+2 now to have my dog's hit points, ignore 4#4 and leave Reac for your info?" - Exactly :) But remember about my house rule rerolls for this.
I'm always interested with some backstories:)
So the story in general goes like this:
Sadur arrives into the city and tries to get job. A dwarf with harsh temper and barbarian's outlook - people are scared of him and don't trust. He has really big problems to get anyone hiring him... except for criminals. Robbers welcome him among themselves for his outlook. Only after the first job he understand what type of job he has accepted and manage to switch to thievery. But eventually he gets involved into a lager heist that goes south and ambushed by guards/militia. Sadur manage to escape, but bleeding and dying falls on the street - where a royal family member finds him and saves his life.
More over, while his wounds are treated and Sadur can't get out of the bed for a few days he establish bound with a dog from royal kennels... let's not go into details, but his (barbarian) natural ability to handle animals comes handy to a job at the royal kennels.
Sadur feels forever in debt to both royal family and the dog for leaving his criminal background behind.
Rolls
Dog HP - (1d8+2)
(4) + 2 = 6
HD 1+2 - it means creature's Hit Dice, in ToA it's always d8. So please roll d8+2 to check how many HP your dog will have. As I imagine it as well fed and trained -> if the result will be 4 or less, please re-roll.
This backstory works for me:) From robber to... maybe... good guy:)
