It's nearing the spooky time of year again and I will run my yearly Halloween game as is tradition. I'm a little busier than usual so I will be running a low-level Shadowdark adventure called The Count, the Castle, & the Curse.
The Pitch
The Count, the Castle, & the Curse is a low-level gothic-themed adventure scenario in which the Player Characters (PCs) must escape the Castle before midnight, lest the Count returns to finish his game of cat-and-mouse. In addition, the PCs have been given a Curse which may either hinder or help them attain their goals as they explore a means of escape. Rather than a traditional "plot" to be followed, the Castle is presented as an environment in which the players can interact with the horrors and dangers within, giving them the power to explore as much or as little of the Castle as they can before Midnight.
The Count: Has allowed the player characters a chance of escape before Midnight—though he has many ways of toying with them in the meantime. All bets are off after Midnight.
The Curse: The PCs are cursed with the early stages of vampirism and must decide whether to use these powers at the cost of their own humanity. Giving into their Vampiric desires will grant them new powers and weaknesses
The Game
I'll take 5 players who can commit to about 5 posts per week. The game should last until Halloween or shortly thereafter. I'm planning roughly 10 days of real time per 1 hour of game time to end on Halloween, but this is a little flexible and may go a week or two longer. Recruitment is open for 48 hours and I'll send invites out on Wed/Thu. I'd like to get the game started by Saturday. If you're interested, post below!
