Combat Procedure

Oct 1, 2024 5:20 pm
1. Determine Distance: The GM (Judge) will inform players of the distance between enemies and player characters.

2. Perceptions and Surprise: The GM (Judge) describes what the player characters can determine through their senses and determines whether the enemies or the player characters are surprised by the encounter.

3. Reactions: If necessary, the GM (Judge) will determine how the "enemies" react to the presence of the player characters.

3b. Combatants that are taking defensive actions, moving defensively, performing special maneuvers, or casting a spell must declare so before initiative is rolled.

4. Initiative: If combat is imminent, each player character and group of similar enemies rolls 1d6 and adds Dexterity modifier. Higher numbers act first. Combatants with equal numbers act simultaneously.

5. Movement and Attacks.
