House Rules & Other Tidbits

- Risus is vague on initiative, so we'll be rolling flat d20s to establish initiative order for combat.

- For Advanced Options, we won't be using Lucky Shots or Hooks & Tales.

We will be using Pumps. Single-pumps only, not double-pumps.

However, you can only pump a cliche by your current dice amount.

Example: You have Super-Strength (4). You're allowed to pump for 4 dice.

But say you lost a dice, and are now at Super-Strength (3). You're only allowed to pump for 3 dice.

Beware! Your foes may also pump their dice!

- We will have some form of milestone character advancement. You'll gain extra dice, and will find gear or boosts that make you even more powerful. The more stuff you do, the more awesome you'll become. I'm not using the dice-rolling mechanic stated in Character Advancement, so don't worry about needing to be lucky with rolls to advance.

- This will be updated in case we come across any issues that need ironing out.

- Initiative ties go in favor of the players. If players tie among themselves, they'll decide who goes first.

- Cliche rolling ties also go in favor of the players.

At the end of every day, you'll sleep/repair/etc. which will restore all cliches. Consider it a "long rest." You can choose to do something at night, or even stay up all night, but you won't heal.

During the adventuring day, there are several options for healing cliches:

- Solo: you can RP healing a cliche. This RP must be cliche-specific and have some detail. Not "I rest for an hour and heal everything." Get clever! Generally, 1 RP=1 dice healed, and then some time must pass before you can heal more. But if you really go HAM on your RP, I might reward extra dice.

- Team: you can collectively decide to take a "short rest." This also needs to be RPed. Depending on your RP, and the time you spend resting, you may heal multiple dice/cliches. Or you can RP that you're focusing on a single cliche.

The common theme: RP drives healing.

- You may also acquire items, or meet NPCs, that can heal you.
