Hank Johans has recently moved his residence from his home country of Iceland to Cedarville, USA, and setup a satellite office for his employees to work from. In interviews he states his reasons for the move is so that he can be "On the ground, seeing this grand experiment unfold. Learning form the players as they explore the world he created." With him he brings several good things for the town. The eNani Corp Complex is a huge construction job, employing many of the towns folk. He also has plans to invest heavily in the infrastructure of the town, improving utilities and promising the whole town free wifi.
He seems personally interested in the youth of the town. He has funded a series of youth programs through the local YMCA, and has expressed a desire to start a robotics league in the town school that he hopes will reach a national level in the near future.
However, the children that have met him personally all seem put off by him. He is too interested, bordering on creepily interested, in youth culture. More so than any adult has ever been in the past. If anyone points this out to him or another adult, it is simply brushed off as an eccentricity due to his foreign origins. "He's Icelandic after all...Europeans are just weird to Americans."
