... Well life happened and I didn’t get to this until tonight! Apologies. ...
No worries at all. I have not looked at the rules yet either (beyond what was needed for making a sheet).
Drgwen says:
... your descriptions of the mechanics of the game seem spot on. ...
'Mechanics' are easy. Especial with a simple game that is only three pages (minus character sheet and credits). And especially-especially when they assume PbtA understanding which is there already.

... At least that’s how I understand world of dungeons.
I will always try a new John Harper game, even if it is mostly a re-skin of another game I already know. ...
All his games are slightly interlinked. The connection between
Lady Blackbird and
Blades in the Dark surprises people, and they twist their brains in knots trying to unravel it. :) I don't know about
Agon, I have both first and second edition of that, and should like the themes, but have never succeeded in reading that rulebook, not sure why (too many rules for my current preference, maybe?).
Drgwen says:
... The mish mash of fantasy and modernity here is interesting ...
We can choose how much it is a fantasy problem vs a sci-fi problem we are facing, but it does tend towards fantasy. We can also decide how 'mundane' it is for everyone, whether people still deny it and panic when a rift hits their town, or if it is accepted as the new normal, or if it is kept secret and covered up.

... I’m hoping to have some light fun creating our own unique take on this mini-setting and game kit. ...
Cool.
