You could find this video tutorial helpful for pilot creation and see other tutorials by author on other aspects of Langer.

But honestly I find creating pilot to be simple and I did my first without tutorial following there steps:

If you want it simpler - on step 2 choose the triggers recommended for your background, for 3 and 4 https://compcon.app/ will help you

Is it still a problem? Don't have idea of what character you want to play?
1. Open this link
2. Type your name and callsing
3. Tap Select Character Template
4. Choose from list of template characters , continue, Register pilot

What's next?
Actually even before you create your character I strongly recommend reading 2 pages long introduction in the rulebook. Unlike game recently started by Falconloft my game don't have anything custom. Rulebook introduction is this game's introduction. Must read.

Playing lancer are just more pages, but it is nice read.

What's next, actually?
You need to also create your mech. If you did " Select Character Template" you have your mech already. If not - I can suggest these two strategies:
A. Use https://compcon.app/ to click through everything allowed and pick randomly anything that sounds cool until it does not allow you to pick more. Until you run your first game you will not really understand what systems and weapons really does and what is going to be useful in which situation.

B. Watch all video tutorials here and believe you have mastered the game enough to create your right mech

C. I haven't watched myself, but found reference to this video that covers most of important in just 36 minutes and is funny

What's GMS Chomolungma? Can't find it in core rules. As I stated we use core rules only.

I can double check rules later, but both my memory and https://compcon.app/ interface suggests at this level only frame available is Everest. By the way, it is not a trash frame for low level - you can still build decent mech on that frame at higher levels.

I originally went with a template filled out by COMP/CON's automatic Mech maker.

I went with what I felt was more of a support Mech.

I'm still kinda on the fence on whether to go with Heavy Machine Gun (Canon) or Howitzer (Canon)

Can you explain the stabilization in relation to weapons with 'Loading' tag. If I went with Howitzer She'd have 3 weapon systems with Loading and an Assault Rifle for uninterrupted fire. I guess what I really need to know is; if she fired off a missile attack from each of her two Missile Racks and a shot from her Howitzer then went to the Assault Rifle, can stabilizing (reloading) be done while using the Assault Rifle?

Please let me know if I need to make any changes; this is a Core build only.

The short story is that Gory Gonzal was a former factory worker who found that selling some scrap and "extra" pieces on the side made much more money than his normal job as a laborer. That was a long time ago, and he was never caught. Before joining this crew, Gory would salvage Lancer battles, picking up what pieces of junk and damaged hardware he could find to resell under the table.

Hello! Thank you for the welcome. I am in a weird spot. I've done a lot more character creation/tinkering with the COMP/CON site than I have actually played. I have played maybe 1-2 rounds of combat in Lancer and I had to get a lot of reminders about the die rolls.

Lane McCree, callsign Barracuda, was an idealistic young woman who signed up as a private soldier that had been hired to protect her home. The things she saw, and did, in defending her home, scarred her. So much so that she didn't feel she could go back to her life before. So now left with the merc team, since it seemed to be the only thing she was suited for any more. Now she has a chance to become a Lancer pilot and leave the darkness of her past behind, and she won't give up on that chance.

Have you had a look at it? I spent a few hours coding it from scratch... Am I missing anything?

I plan to code a second one for when she is in Harbinger. Would need you to allow 2 characters per player.

Nope.
I would suggest all players do a character sheath only to represent your pilot name and avatar. The stuff is easier to manage in https://compcon.app/
And I trust the site to not let you do against rules.

That said it is wonderful you did copy things over here for some posting automation . It is Great you could get description of your trigger or system into your post with a single click.

It is purposely missing Mech info Its a Pilot Sheet... was going to make a separate one for the Mechs but might just tack it on to the Pilot one... will post the code here when I get it done.

Reserves ? What Reserves ? Are you looking into Downtime chapter in core rule book?
Or Stage Three of a combat mission?

I would like to address that question once we get there, we are still in the short narrative phase I want to do before our first mission.

I was just looking at COMP/CON

Reserves and Bonuses are just under Skill Triggers on Narrative Profile Tab

Special Equipment is just under Licenses on Tactical Profile Tab.
