I will use this thread to address some of questions (private or public) I've got asked. And I hope you will not hesitate to ask more questions.
Besides I don't intend to be rules expert and invite you to discuss or challenge anything I tell you here
So, let's revisit skill checks
- 10 is always the number, but DM may decide your action is either difficult or risky. I'm not doing that for first check but may - just to demonstrate the possibility - do that in next checks to come. Please don't freak out about my decisions - we are just learning the system, don't we
- Rules say "Each roll can only benefit from one statistic bonus at a time". In particular that means no more than one trigger could be used at a time. More over, your triggers
- Your skill skill triggers are not "feats" or "abilities". Please focus on role play what's your character is doing and treat trigger as simple reason to add +2 to your 1d20 roll
but don't forget you don't need to trigger. I would love to see your PC actions that help to make a better story over actions that allow you to easier add +2 and increase your chance to success bu some 10%.
Note: I hope this have answered all of the questions I've been asked so far, please do ask them here if you still have more questions. I prefer to limit game thread to game-play only

As a central character in the story, your pilot will have moments when their background, training, and personality shine through. These moments are your pilot’s triggers.Note: I hope this have answered all of the questions I've been asked so far, please do ask them here if you still have more questions.
