Highlands of Indo-Canyrum; The clans live on rugged mountains, sharp drop offs that end along a coastal cropping of jagged rocks, the white foam of a salty ocean crashing into the earth. The ocean is cold, the currents are powerful, and a variety of aquatic predators lurk for an easy meal. Narrow paths with stones submerged into mud, lead to caves on the cliff faces, ancient structures with deadly secrets. The various clan holdings are closer to each other, but harsh

Ketyn Myr; A land filled with low altitude, rugged mountains and hillside ranges only slightly short of a mountainous definition. The clans live in small settlements which are scattered by vast distances. Usually the holdings require a full day or two of forced marching to reach their neighbor settlements. Along the most distant travels, old cathedrals and deserted forts stand as lone structures in the landscapes. The clans of this land have as many rivalries as allies and any turn can lead to a long standing feud. Groves of forests have been cultivated to grow in terrain that avoids the most travelled routes. While the men farm the fields or hunt game in the shadowed canopy of the oak and pines, teenage kids tend to flocks of sheep along nearby hillsides.

Low lands of Gorlyn Krag; Settlements here are coastal trading centers, villages larger than the clan settlements in the Eastern and Western Glens, Craftsmen flourish here and foreign traders gather to purchase iron, bronze, and copperware. The villages while kin to the highland clans are Controlled by the Grondurian Empire

Scotland's geography can be roughly divided into three areas: the lowlands, the highlands and islands.

The west coast is fringed by deep indentations (sea lochs or fjords) and by numerous islands, varying in size from mere rocks to the large landmasses of Lewis and Harris, Skye, and Mull. The land area of Scotland is 30,090 square miles (77,900 km 2).

Following the end of Roman rule in Britain during the 5th century,
The British tribes opposed the Roman legions for many decades, but by 84 the Romans had decisively conquered southern Britain and had pushed into Brittonic areas of what would later become northern England and southern Scotland..

TRIBES; Caledones
This is the name of peoples who lived in the Scottish Highlands Caledones.
The Romans used the word Caledones to describe both a single tribe who lived in the Great Glen between the modern towns of Inverness and Fort William.
Cornovii
Smertae who probably lived in Caithness
Caereni who lived in the far west of the Highlands
the Carnonacae in Western highlands
Creones in the Western Highlands.
the Novantae
Carvetii

The Vacomagi lived in and around the Cairngorns.
Other unknown tribes lived in Orkney, Shetland and the Hebrides.
Warriors from many of these tribes came together to resist the Romans under a leader called Calgacus at battle of Mons Graupius in AD 84. Although the Romans won this battle, they never successfully conquered the Highlands. The Romans admired the Caledonii for their ability to endure cold, hunger and hardship. Tacitus described them as red-haired and large-limbed.
All these tribes lived very different lifestyles than neighbouring peoples in other parts of Scotland. In many areas they lived in tall stone towers, called
Brochs, or other fortified sites, called Duns. Unlike the Taexali and Venicones, the Caledones rarely made religious offerings of fine metal objects.
the weems and earth-houses and the fortified crannogs used by the natives at and preceding the time of the roman occupation.
The first cluster of houses in Glasgow were no doubt mere hovels built of wattles and mud, and thatched with reeds or coarse grass or turf. As a rule they had no second room, and the single apartment served as a chamber in which all the family slept promiscuously
Gaelic aristocracy lived in close and informal relationship with their immediate followers. Without resorting to sentimentality about "clan" bonds, we can recognize a genuine affection among the common folk for the ancient ruling families.
They were known for their profound oral tradition and their aptitude for poetry, storytelling, and music.

Villagers in Britain tended to create larger, round stone structures with thatched roofs that reached nearly to the ground.
They would also have gardens and farms, but also kept a great deal of livestock. Livestock and farmers shared the buildings, keeping each other fed (and warm).
Celtic peasants appear to have kept many common animals, including small cattle, pigs, and geese. Wild boars were apparently hunted— possibly as a rite of manhood.
They also tended more exotic animals such as chickens, recently introduced from the east, and bees for both their wax and honey.
The Celtic farmers grew barley, oats, and beans. They grew flax and tended to sheep for their clothing Of course,
They were warlords and military men, very different indeed from the legends of such as King Arthur.

They fought with spear and sword, and occasionally with helmet and shield.
Roman scholars credited the individual Celtic warrior with tremendous skill and bravery.

Later, they were employed to mark sites of important events or boundaries between tribes and villages
