The fabric of time is under attack! Not by a single, discernible foe, but by insidious distortions, ripples, and outright breaks in the timeline. The familiar history of the Dragon Ball universe, from the Saiyan Saga to the Tournament of Power, is being subtly—and sometimes overtly—rewritten. The Supreme Kai of Time and Trunks, overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the temporal anomalies, have issued an urgent summons to promising new martial artists from across dimensions and timelines. They need help, and they need it now.

Game System: Dragonball Z Anime Adventures
The "Instant Fuzion" system is the core rule system used by Dragon Ball Z: The Anime Adventure Game (published by R. Talsorian Games). It's designed to be a relatively simple and fast-playing RPG system, aiming for ease of use rather than deep simulation. The system was said to be a little wonky.

If you want to apply to the game please post in the thread with a character concept, and your chief hope for the game.

Note: In my interest thread I mentioned starting off with the PvP tournament that the book sort of suggests for play, I have instead shifted to a more Dragonball Xenoverse based game world where you play as a temporal interloper into classic moments from the tv show. If players want to start with a tournament this structure would still allow that easily but it wouldn't be confined to it if players decide against it.

You already know I'm in.

I also am in favor of the tourney, but maybe after some initial gaming? Make it interesting by giving us some time to grow and develop our characters beyond starting stats.

Yeah I think that if/when that comes as a possibility I want it to be natural and not forced where a bunch of number-meat bags just hitting each other...

Ryu. A sayian from a different dimension. Where unlike Vegeta s dimension. Sayians are protectors not concurers. Like Vegeta and Goku was sent to planets as babies. But to learn to interact, protect and understand those they are fighting for. Like Goku wound up on earth. So was raised by adopted family of martial artists. Doesn't know of his sayian race. As for some reason no one ever came for him. Maybe a freeze like badie killed them. While he was growing up. Or maybe they lost track of him ...

I agree with the above. But I don't have any books. So not sure if it means I can't play.

Shell: a Namekian Warrior who left Namek after having a disagreement with her master over how to apply her martial arts prowess. Currently traveling the cosmos looking for a new master and people to train with. A stern and serious figure; despite the falling out she abides very much by the spiritual teachings of Namekians. She is at her core a generous and kind figure but also one who believes that peace can only be achieved through might.

I will be a plain old boring human trained to be the best by all of the various gods of martial arts.

More Tang San Zang than Sun Wu Kong

Played this game when it first came out. I was in high school at the time and a big DBZ nerd. Unfortunately, the campaign only lasted a few months. Nostalgia is bidding me to have another go at it.

My concept is a one of the Hera Clansmen - the teal-skinned, orange-haired warriors who served as antagonists in Bojack Unbound. He is a former space pirate and mercenary. He abandoned his life of crime after the destruction of Planet Hera and the death of his people. Now one of the last Herans in existence (especially since the defeat of Bojack and his crew at the hands of Earth’s Z Fighters), he is rethinking his place in the universe.

Hoping for some memorable fights and fun roleplaying. Honestly, I don’t expect tons of depth from DBZ.

Seems interesting! I'd like to apply, though I will admit I'm only somewhat familiar with Dragon Ball. The most recent DB media I've consumed is Daima, so I'll be drawing some inspiration from that. I've got no experience with the Instant Fuzion system.

My concept is a majin witch that compulsively collects all sorts of magic. She feels she's discovered all that magic that she can in her home dimension, but just as she's getting bored, she hears about the current temporal situation and decides it's a good opportunity to explore other dimensions, so that's why she'd accept the summons.

My main hope is for a story with meaningful choices. Not much else I need besides that.

Wait, is this the system where Margin of Failure matters and you can fail a roll by 5 million because you rolled a 1 on your millions die? Am I remembering that correctly?
