The Pitch
Mergen’s Watch Deep Space Astronomy Research Station orbits the gas giant Falak, notable for utilizing and pioneering VR technology to capture distant phenomena within a VR environment.
You originally stopped at Mergen's Watch to refuel. But the brief stop turned into a permanent stay when you signed up to join the station. It has been a pleasant few weeks since then, but malfunctions have started occurring on the station and the VR systems have become dangerous, causing terrible nightmares.
Data Ghosts (clouds of red gas) have been sighted around the station and seem to be related to the malfunctions. To try and prevent further malfunctions, the station captain is encouraging the crew to "disperse" any ghost they find.
Content Warning
Mothership is a sci-fi horror game so there will be violence, gore, body horror, and swearing. In addition, this module is tagged for cannibalism and gaslighting.
I plan to stick to the equivalent of an R rating for the game.
Mothership is a deadly system, so character death is a real possibility.
Game Duation and Posting Frequency
I am shooting for a posting rate of 4 per week. The module is designed as a shorter adventure and will probably take about 4 months to finish.
How to Apply
I am looking for 5 players. Apply by replying below. Anyone is welcome to apply and no familiarity or previous experience with the system is required. This game is explicitly friendly to LGBTQ+ and any other minorities or marginalized groups.
I will give priority to those who have already shown interest in the "looking for gm" post. I plan to start the game June 9 or 10. Characters will be created in the game forums.
