I've been contemplating running a game mentioned above, but with an amendment.
I was always interested in a magic system that works differently than superpowers, and the Chronicler's Guide has a variant option exactly for that. The requirements to make a magic effect:
You can collect successes over time, each roll takes a fixed time (one hour by default, but it's negotiable), and mages can join a ritual circle and help. One primary actor makes the usual rolls, the aides roll with limited dice.
I supposed the setting could be somewhere less conventional than the US or old Europe, like Finland, Japan, Egypt, a Hispanic country, etc.
I don't have more now about setting or story, I'm gauging interest if I should start gathering ideas for trying this variant rule.
