Lawgiver Ammunition Magazines (x4)
The Lawgiver fires six separate types of ammunition, as selected by the Judge. The magazines holds 30 Standard Execution rounds – the default ammunition type used by the Lawgiver – but a computer-controlled calibration system in the front of the magazine adjusts each SE round to fit the selected profile from the five remaining alternatives:
Armour-Piercing (AP), Heat Seeking (HS or Hot Shot), High-Explosive (HE), Incendiary (IC) or Ricochet (RC).
Issuing a voice command, using either the full name of the round or the initials given in parentheses, instructs the gun to calibrate and load the appropriate ammunition type: the Lawgiver always provides a verbal confirmation of the round selected to ensure the right choice has been made.
Armour-Piercing (AP)
A calibrated SE round forms the basis of the Armour Piercing
round. An AP round is capable of penetrating up to 6cm of
plastisteel armour. In game terms, an AP round ignores the first
12 points of armour it encounters.
AP rounds cannot be Rapid Fired.
Heat Seeking (HS)
An SE round is capped with a miniature heat-seeking
warhead that locks onto a human heat signature as identified
by the Lawgiver’s targeting system and guides itself to the
target. The warhead arms itself at ranges above 15 metres,
functioning as an SE round at ranges below 15 metres. HS
rounds have an inbuilt safety cut-out to prevent them turning
about-face and hitting the Judge. If there is no eligible target
identified by the targeting mechanism, then the round will
guide itself to the nearest target within a 180° arc on a roll
of 6+ on 2d6.
HS rounds cannot be Rapid Fired.
