Character just got ate up and is gone completely.

I just went to adjust for a spell just casted and the system ate my character completely. There is NOTHING left.

Character is "Azote".

Obviously we need to fix the problem that caused the loss of character, but this is a good time to have lost someone.
You should be able to easily recover them from https://staging.gamersplane.com/characters/custom/33156/. Just edit that one and copy/paste back to the production server (it may be a 4 days old, though).

What exactly did you do?
Is there a chance you hit the Save button twice? I think that has been narrowed down to a possible cause for this loss.

Recently I had some issues that caused GP to load insanely slowly, I am talking a delay of a up to 10 or 15 seconds before anything loads.

When editing a character sheet, I noticed that the forum interface and the saved contents of the character sheet did not load at the same time. It was as if the site loads the interface with a blank character sheet and a fully armed and operational save button and then "copy pastes" the contents of the character sheet in to the interface. Saving the character sheet before the contents could be inserted would save the blank character sheet and the original content would be lost.

At this time it was very noticeable due to the insanely long delay, but ever since I have been vigilant about this and noticed that this happens all the time, although the time when the blank character sheet is visible is usually just half a second or something. I could easily imagine some minor hiccup with pressing the save button twice causing this to occur without the user noticing what happened.

Same realization occured for me while making an NPC for my game. I pressed save too soon before the contents loaded and I lost all progress prior to that point. Have been hyper vigilant about letting the sheets load since then, especially on phone.

Something similar happened to me recently where I managed to accidentally double click on the save and exit button and lost the character.
