Vehicle Actions/Maneuvers Available for ECUL (p. 238 F&D):
Notes:
Damage Control for the ECUL (and most speeders): Can be performed to reduce Strain by Pilot/Co-Pilot positions. Hull trauma can be repaired by anyone who can access the actual damage, if possible, depending on where it is.
Scan the Enemy without the proper computer systems will be considered the character's attempt to use their senses (vision, primarily) to fully assess the target.
All Positions: With front windshield retracted, Ranged weapon attacks are possible, depending on where the target is, with potential Setback dice, based on angle (attacks toward the front and sides, leaning out the window to shoot toward the rear, etc). E.g., the Pilot would have a tough (impossible?) time pulling off an attack with a blaster pistol at a target on the passenger side to the rear, in what is essentially the Pilot's blind spot.
Pilot: All except Gain the Advantage, Angle Deflector Shields, Co-Pilot, Jamming, Boost Shields, Slice Enemy Systems, Spoof Missiles.
Co-Pilot: All except Pilot Only, Angle Deflector Shields, Jamming, Boost Shields, Slice Enemy Systems, Spoof Missiles.
Rear Passengers: Only Damage Control (see above note) and Ranged Weapon Attacks via top hatch and rear cargo door (in addition to open front windshield, if available).
A note on vehicle capabilities: The ECUL has 5 customization Hard Points, and can be upgraded to perform in a more combat capable role; right now, it's simply a standard speeder with greater passenger capacity. More advanced upgrades could be installed: computer upgrade with Jamming software, a rear passenger computer console (with the effect of adding a Systems crew position), shields, faster engine, better handling adding (boost dice to Piloting checks), armor, or even just window tinting.
Your imagination to how you can upgrade the ECUL, and the Spear of Akrulta for that matter, are not limited by what's in the books. If you can think of something that makes sense to upgrade any vehicle with, let me know, and we can figure something out.
