To keep things running smoothly, and to make things an easier read, I've got a particular set of standards I try to apply to my own postings. I would appreciate if you could try to follow the same patterns, if at all possible.
In short:
Your characters actions are posted in unadorned plain text. I try to keep these in third person, present tense.
Your speech is done in bold text.
Internal thoughts are handled through green italics. This is a minor change from previous games I've run, based on feedback from a player with dyslexia. This gives multiple ways for people to spot the change to internalization. :) If you want to bold it for things like telepathic speech, groovy.
I personally use a combat block during combat rounds to keep track of vitals for my person:
Casting inflict wounds as a second level spell.
1st 4/4 | 2nd 3/3
Ward 12/12 HP | 24/24 HP | 13 AC | Inspiration 0
For that block:
Information about the spell you are casting in red font. I also try to include a link to the spell in the post, but I don't ask you to do that if you don't want. Just a quirk of mine so I can get to the spell details quicker.
Blue for tracking your active spell slots/ability uses like Channel Divinity and the like.
Teal for tracking your HP, AC, Inspiration, and any temp HP/Shield Effects/Spell Effects, etc
Anything out of character is posted using the OOC tags.
DM Information I try to post in this color.

If you have any other suggestions or things you think make sense, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll leave this thread unlocked so we can capture/communicate that all here, but I'll update this post with anything we agree upon. :)

Dirty kobolds. Vile creatures. I would as soon bed a devil as I would to see a single of these vermin roam free. the sorcerer thinks to herself as she feels the wisps of poison start to coalesce in her hand.I personally use a combat block during combat rounds to keep track of vitals for my person:

The barbarian really hates kobolds. I'm not sure if this would give him any kind of advantage on the strike? Are there any other rolls you want to see?Quote:
Feel free to roll a Nature check to learn more about Kobold lighting preferences.
