Hi everybody!

I am brand new to both this site and tabletop! One thing about me, I'm Deaf so I grew up drooling over my dad's AD&D red box but not many Deaf were interested in that sort of thing so I didn't have any opportunity to play. So I mostly played solo gamebooks such as Fighting Fantasy, Lone Wolf, Grey Star, Fire*Wolf, Sagard the Barbarian, The Way of the Tiger, Grailquest, and many others. As computing became better, rpg games became a favorite but I always liked the social aspect of gaming.

Anyway, bulloctorok started up his twitter game of 1st Ed AD&D and I managed to join during the second adventure as a gnome illusionist/thief - it's loads of fun!

I played 5th Ed AD&D on twitter briefly as well. Anyway I am curious about other systems out there such as Dungeon World, Numenera, 13th Age and so on. I'm totally open to anything so if you don't mind a noob mucking around, let me know :)

If you use American Sign Language, do please let me know! I hope to eventually experiment playing over webcam but right now I have too many things going on IRL before I can even begin to think about that.

hey, welcome to GamersPlane :). I believe Keleth is currently trying to learn ASL, so maybe you could help him out at some point.

I think you should be able to find a bunch of games worth trying and learning, noobs are always fun in my book.

How well does D&D play on Twitter?

Hi barinthus! As you know from Twitter, I'm learning ASL, though I've started numbers and they're already getting complicated :p Though the sign for car is amazing (if you don't know the ASL sign for car, look it up, you'll be pleasantly surprised).

Hopefully you find gaming here fun, and we can help get people who are hard of hearing into more gaming in a format that they're comfortable in.

Well personally I think Bulloctorok did a great job of adapting the rule set to the medium! He keeps the game going instead of waiting on everybody to make a decision so I think it's different from PbP?

You can find out more about it at 1steddm.blogspot.com
