Zora grew up on an aquatic planet to very wealthy family. She grew up learning politics from her father, how to sail as a hobby from her mother, and how to spend her parent's money from her friends.

When she became of age, Zora applied for the local university in the hopes that she would find a calling that interests her. Her parents were so proud when she told them that she was accepted! Of course, a cynical person might say that it was because of her last name that she was admitted...

during her studies, she found a passion for artwork and took up painting. She also started taking classes in journalism and really liked it as well. Her coming of age in a political family sparked her interest.

The week before graduation week, when campus life was dying down and Zora was preparing herself to enter the "real world", she was secretly approached by a couple of individuals that told her they represented an organization that had been watching her from a distance and believe that she is ready to be tested to see if she is worthy to join them. Having learned about secret societies via her father's political allies, rumors from the trid-net, and trashy suspense E-novels, Zora decided to see what all the fuss was about. Zora was taken to a hidden black site and her mind was probed and tested for Psychic ability. Her tests showed that she had impressive potential for psychic ability and was offered the chance to develop her powers once she took her place in this underground, highly illegal, Psychic institute.

Zora graduates, giddy with the secret she knows. after her graduation and a few months of "discovering herself" by travelling across the Gurellian Reach by herself she contacts the Psychic Institute and tells then that she is ready to begin her training. She is accepted and decides to learn as much as she can about psychic phenomena and unlock it's secrets. Zora loves nothing better than secrets.

Zora took to her studies quickly and learned the connection between the mind and reality. She used her powers whenever she could, which caused her to be admonished by her instructors, but she persisted. One day she had been careless with reading the mind of a vendor at a starport while out on assignment and she quickly became the victim of an anti-psychic hate mob. She was beaten so severely she suffered permanent weakness in her extremities. This even humbled her, and her instructors decided to grant her the rank of Initiate into the deeper mysteries of the psychic condition

Zora's second terms was marked by determination to overcome her limitations. She decided to take the training of her body more seriously this time around and actually learned how to adapt and recover some of her body's functionality despite lingering tremors from the beating she received. Her hard work drew the attention of Gared Bryne, one of the instructors and he took her under his wing as a personal mentor. He offered her additional training and aid that helped her in her advancement trials. The long nights of training paid off and Zora was initiated into the second circle of the psychic mysteries.

Growing wiser in the application of her powers, Zora nevertheless attracts another experienced psychic associated with the institute, Sarah Marins. Sarah is of the belief that one should always strive to never use their abilities unless absolutely essential. At all other times, one should use and develop their natural talents. because of Sarah's instruction and training, Zora learned to be more naturally persuasive. Her academy instructors were impressed by Zora's improvements enough to initiate her as an Acolyte into the Psychic Mysteries. With the secrets she was given access to, Zora was able to gain a better understanding of how to augment her physical self with her mental powers.

Zora's immersion into the powers of the mind lead her to develop her Telepathy powers. One day, while visiting her parents, she had the opportunity to psychically implant a suggestion into her father's mind to grant her an active role in her plat's goverment and hopefully increase her social standing. This attempt failed, and resulted in her parents discovering she was a psychic. She was disowned and cut off in private, and in public her family made up a story about her not being mentally fit the challenge, causing Zora to lose significant face. With the sting of being dead to her parents fresh in her mind, she was also passed over for deeper initiation because of her blatant abuse of power.

Zora, humbled once again by failure and loss, returned to Sarah's lessons and developed her natural persuasiveness instead of her raw power. Zora was beginning to see that power itself is no excuse to usurp the will of others. And when she was presented with another opportunity to increase her social standing and power, she did not take it, instead being content to be who she simply was. This lesson moved the institute to initiate her into the deeper mysteries this term, making her a level 4 Acolyte.

Zora became much more contemplative as she grew older. She took to studying histories, planetary irrigation techniques, anything that caught her interest, becoming much more of a scholar. She still maintained relationships with her mentors, who grew as close as family with her during their many years together. Gareth decided that Zora's learning and powers were all well and good, but without being able to defend herself if she's unable or unwilling to use her powers all the training in the galaxy would be useless, so he taught her how to use energy weapons. just in case. Due to her growing wisdom and ability to begin to let go of her Ego she was initiated far deeper into the Mysteries, just one step below a Psychic Master.

Zora's studies reached a culmination point and during an intense meditation session, something inside of her opened up and She was flooded with power. After she regained consciousness and recovered she discovered that she was much more skillful at reaching out to other minds. Confident that this would cause the Institute to finally bestow the rank of master on her, she was shocked when the passed her over for promotion. Had she not discovered a powerful secret? Were the directors jealous of her? were they frightened? Zora decided to apply for one final term in the institute to see if she could attain the rank of master before retiring.

Zora, realizing that this was her last term at the institute (she had been very lucky so far to not have suffered any effects of ageing, but she felt she couldn't press her luck any further), she delved into the recesses of her mind and developed her awareness powers more fully. She figured she might as well be an old woman who can take care of herself. When it came time to test for promotion, she remained still and passive. During the proceedings, she found that she was reaching out into the directors' minds without them being aware of it. Not questioning how such a thing was possible, she used the information she gained to pass her trials and earn the right to more compensation as a true Psychic Master.
