The Dead Drop

Mar 14, 2017 3:37 pm
As you approach the Dead Drop, it's in the last few minutes of the ride that you notice the change in scenery, as illuminated by the rays of a setting Bonadan sun. First, traffic thins out, then becomes sparse, eventually becoming almost non-existent. The off-white, tan, and light grey buildings, the streets, everything about the infrastructure around you become more dilapidated as you get closer to your destination, until finally you're hovering along the broken fragments of what was once a road. You skirt around vehicles abandoned in the streets, in various states of wreckage or disrepair. Traffic signals hang lifelessly from their fixtures. Red Bonadan sand completely fills in the cracks and potholes, piling meters high against walls in spots, spilling out of buildings, some of them completely flooded with sand. Looking above, you notice that air traffic, in all directions, completely circumvents the neighborhood.

The streets aren't completely lifeless, however, as you notice the occasional cantina and neighborhood shop still open for business, bodegas run by shady merchants scattered here and there. Sentient species of all kinds dot the streets, and it's not difficult to spot the criminal elements either. Narcotics dealers stand on their corners, looking a little too vigilant to simply be loitering. Prostitutes, obvious in their dress and behavior toward you as you pass by, tend to congregate in small groups closer to the cantinas, ready for the impending nightlife. As you descend from the top of a sand dune you see a plaza, long dry fountains and crumbling statues surrounding what you're certain is a slave auction, with a variety of manacled, naked beings, mostly Twi'leks, in line for their turn on the block, a few dozen bidders waiting for the chance to own their first slave, or expand their stable.

Finally, you see it, nestled in an open space between buildings, at the corner of a crumbling intersection: a single-story, tan colored building, about the size of a corner store, no windows, a couple dozen vehicles parked outside. The plascrete walls holding it up look solid, as if they were actually repaired when necessary, in contrast to most of the neighborhood's general state of decay. A flat roof rests on top, and although there is no signage to be seen, you're sure you've arrived at the Dead Drop, based on the navcomputer's directions. Erasing any doubt of the navcomputer's accuracy, you immediately come to understand the origins of the cantina's moniker as you look for a parking spot, your attention drawn away from the three hookers working the cantina front door.

About 20 meters beyond the rear of the cantina, the ground drops off sharply at a cliff, at the edge of a small canyon of sorts. Looking across, you estimate it to be about a kilometer wide, and perhaps two kilometers long in either direction from your current location. A singular bridge a couple of city blocks away stretches across the width of the chasm, a large central tower rising through and above the bridge itself, with smaller support structures still standing the test of time. Although the setting Bonadan sun leaves much of it in shadow at this time of day, you see a variety of buildings and varying support structures, cascading down the walls of the canyon in terraces that encroach further inwards as they near the canyon floor, perhaps 150 meters down.

Finally, you find an open spot as Lexi parks the ECUL right up against the corner of the Dead Drop's rear wall, on the canyon side. A shifty looking Bothan dressed in a hooded robe leans up against the wall near the cantina's back door. He pulls off his breath mask for a moment to take a drag from his death stick. Holding the smoke in for a moment, he exhales, then holds the breath mask to his face again as he turns to look in your direction, eying you through tinted goggles.

Welcome to the Dead Drop.

May i suggest that the next time we agree to meet someone, they go to our destination of choosing. Not the other way around.

Krosus opens the side door and puts his breath mask on. Why is it that the first planet we are to conquer, has to smell and look so filthy. Even the pathetic ladies of the street, look withered and wilted. A far cry from there home of clean air and untamed wilderness. Such remembrance only distracted him from the now. Focus on the present, he had to remind himself.

Let's get this over with.
Mar 15, 2017 1:14 am
Lexi, her heart finally calmed from the explosive traffic situation, sat in the driver's seat for a moment, taking in a breath of cool cleansed air from the ECUL. Gathering her things, she heads out, leaving the carbine locked in its storage space in the ECUL, along with its recharge packs. The magazines for her slug throwers slip into her belt as she tugs on her own breath mask.

I wholeheartedly agree Krosus. Progenitor help us this wouldn't be my choice.

Need to figure out who tried the rocket on us. Nash knew where we were going, so that could have been him testing our abilities. Making sure he's not getting into bed with rank amateurs. On the other hand, if we've been as observed as he was letting on, it could have been Flesh Crawler or any one of a ton of other people that would want us eliminated. From now, we avoid being in the middle of the pack in traffic Lexi. Keep to the edges, frequent lane changes, alternate routes everywhere. It will add time but will protect OpSec. Need side-seat keeping constant lookout for dangers. I don't want the first I know of the issue to be when I have to jump.
Mar 15, 2017 4:07 am
As he removed his seatbelt, Hawke glanced around before asking, Any need for me to look under the hood?

He had heard an explosion during their brief excitement on the road but doubted that there was any real damage. If there was then Lexiala would have said something along those lines during the swerving. Still, didn't hurt to ask.

Progenitor, if these trials are your way of testing our strength, then I thank you for challenging us. If they are simply to amuse you, then I hope you are entertained. And kriff you Nash and whoever messed with the holoterminal!
Mar 15, 2017 7:17 am
Tajanna flicked her wrist to set her holographic costume to display a set of drab-coloured, practical-looking civilian clothes, put her breathmask on, slid her ACP Repeater into her backpack, and then stepped out of the ECUL. She took a moment to survey the desolate scenery, and then turned to converse with the group.

"I don't think we suffered any real damage in the chase, but it can't hurt to double check anyways. And I have no idea what you've all got against this lovely establishment, unless you all want to get accosted by Espos again."

Tajanna paused momentarily, as she noticed the nearby bothan's gestures out of the corner of her eye.

"Oh, and that bonthan watching us is a black marker dealer, if any of you want to go shopping. I doubt he has anything but low-grade narcotics, given the locale, but you can never really know with these types."

Apparently some of us here have some very gucci tastes. I mean, I'm not one to turn down a comfortable mattress or a breathable atmosphere or whatever when available, but we are on a covert military infiltration mission, not a luxury cruise. And besides, this kind of decrepit, all-but abandoned urban zone has it's own kind of charm, if not the same kind as a luxurious mansion or a pristine forest.
Mar 15, 2017 9:26 am
Lissewa exited the ECUL with the rest of her companions, strapped down with all of the weapons she brought with her in plain sight. She believed Nash when he said they wouldn't have to worry about Espos presence here, the locale's general atmosphere made that very clear. And she wanted to make it very clear that the group of them were not someone to be taken lightly. Though she wasn't a trained warrior like the rest of them, she was still a fairly decent shot with a blaster pistol and looking the part certainly wouldn't hurt.

She took a closer look around the area to confirm her what she had already come to realize.

"I don't think I need to say this considering who you all are but be on your guard. Since we were attacked and I doubt it was by Nash, enemies may be aware of our movements and they may already be on to our deal with Nash. I haven't seen his normal method of transportation and I believe we were supposed to meet him here, especially considering our slight delay. If that fancy limo of his isn't here, either he's also been attacked or he is using some other method to get here, keeping a low profile. He did warn us to come packing so he may suspect that other enemies are going to be moving on us soon."

Not liking the smell of the area even with her breath mask on, she suggested moving on toward the Dead Drop. She wasn't going anywhere if they didn't go first.
Mar 15, 2017 3:38 pm
Although the ECUL didn't seem to have any problems after the chase, and the engine still sounded fine, Hawke is understandably not taking any chances. As the squad preps and takes stock of the situation, he gives the speeder a walk around inspection, then pops the hood for a quick look. Satisfied that their transportation has only suffered additional kilometers on the odometer, he rejoins the discussion.

As you loiter by the rear corner of the Dead Drop, on the canyon-side, the dying rays of the Bothan sun painting the canyon walls a rusty orange hue, you notice one of the prostitutes you saw working the front door step out from around the far corner. Dressed in a black two-piece outfit that leaves little to the imagination, she's an extremely attractive Twi'lek, especially helped along on Bonadan by the fact that she's not wearing a breath mask.

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/2ldcn1p8e1dekhp/sexy%20twilek%20copy.jpg

Standing there for a moment she turns to head back, takes a step, then stops. Looking over her shoulder in your direction, she seems hesitant as she sizes you up.

All the while, the shifty looking Bothan dealer eyeballs you, alternating between breath mask and smoking, until he flicks the death stick toward the cliff, a sudden gust of wind carrying it just over the edge with a puff of dust and sand. Tapping away leisurely on a datapad, he seems disinterested in your presence, looking down at the screen, tinted goggles concealing any subtle efforts he might make to watch you.

In the distance you can make out some of the general din in the neighborhood: the yelling and screaming of some escalating domestic dispute, a couple of speeders roaring to life then rapidly approaching high speeds, the slave auctioneer selling lives through a vocal amplifier. More constant in the air is the sound of what you can only guess is a party of some kind, more distant, occasional cheers and laughter underscored by music, the faint sounds of something uptempo yet laid back.

I've adjusted inventories as necessary, but in the future, please note specific changes you'd like in OOC format at the bottom of your post, to make them more salient. As always, I encourage you to make sure the changes are correct.
Mar 15, 2017 4:15 pm
"I doubt Nash would've taken his limo here; this isn't really the neighbourhood for that kind of ride. If you're worried about his status, it probably wouldn't hurt to send him a com-message, to let him know we're here. And, unless anybody has further business out here, we should probably head indoors."

After Tajanna replied to Lissi's comments, she started walking slowly towards the Dead Drop's entrance, and motioned for the others to follow.

We probably should have messaged Nash after the speeder chase, if only to let him know we got slightly delayed. Not that it matters much now. Also, I don't think this is the kind of neighbourhood suited to loitering around aimlessly, so it would be best if we concluded our business here without much delay.
OOC:
My inventory looks correct. Also, Tajanna is wearing her heavy blaster pistol openly, and her lightsaber concealed, both on her person directly, with her ACP Repeater concealed in her bag, if that's relevant.
Mar 15, 2017 9:06 pm
I agree we should head inside. keep close together and show no weakness here.

Krosus moves toward the entrance and waits for the others. While at the same time stretching out with force to see if he could catch any thoughts or emotions from the Twi'lek that had investigated them a minute ago. He expected that there was nothing there except for interest in making some credits, but one never knows. She could know more than appearance suggested. His mentor, Krawley would have advised him as much. Never make assumptions about people, places and things. All of it could be a deception.

I would be careful on what you spend your credits on here Hawke. Would hate to have to try and explain to those we represent about any unusual rashes.

It's always relevant, and I've noted it on your character sheet. Your characters, your choices. Thus far, the only assumptions I've made about any of your gear is that the lightsabers are concealed.

Squeeks and Tefmon have specified how they are wearing their weapons, the rest of you should as well.

Lexi smiled as the comforting weight of the slugthrower settles on her mid-thigh.

Reaching out would be weak. We weren't so far delayed as to be rude. He may have the contacts now, but we are not pure slaves to his whim. As for the establishment, it is fine. I would simply prefer to pick a location where I have the familiarity and I have the comfort of power and placement. Lexi said with a subtle nod. With no further words, she turned and strode toward the door, careful to keep her chin regally placed.

Lexi's slugthrower is in a holster on her hip, lightsaber concealed, recharge packs/magazines in belt pouches.

Well, you either flip it or you don't, as the only way you can find if there is anything of consequence is to use the power (which costs 2 Dark Side points with Sense: Read Thoughts). Regardless, I'm just going to go with your desire to flip the destiny token, which allows you to tap into the Light Side for power, suffering 3 Strain per Light point used. You only need 1, so 3 Strain for Krosus.

Which reminds me to reset everyone's Strain and remove 1 Wounds for your rest on the Spear. I'm not infallible guys, you should keep an eye on your character sheets!

It warms my dark GM heart to happily inform you that the Destiny Pool is at...

0 Dark

6 Light

You have a bad feeling about this...

Also, starting now and moving forward, tapping into the Light Side of the Force will accrue three Conflict, a truly pathetic act for one who strives to embrace the Dark Side. So, Krosus accrues 3 Conflict for weakly tapping into the Light Side of the Force. Surprise, CCL, although I wouldn't worry too much, as Morality isn't a difficult game mechanic for players to manipulate, especially when you're playing Dark Side/Sith characters. From an RP standpoint, this makes sense, as it's hard to imagine a Dark Side character tapping into the Light as easily as a Light Side character would be tempted by the Dark.

Resetting everyone's Conflict from the last Morality roll, and your Strain/Wounds adjustments for the night's rest on the Spear.

Thinking a moment, Hawke decided to check the ECUL for damage when they returned to the ship. Hopping out of the back, he patted the blaster in his belt to make sure that it was still there. Satisfied that it was, Hawke gazed at the street and its occupants, a sneer rising across his face as he did so.

Pathetic. We will be doing the galaxy a favor when we conquer and wipe out refuse like this. Those that are so weak as to rely on preying upon those too brain dead to be worth the effort.

As you start to make your way toward the front of the building, the Twi'lek prostitute seems as if she's anticipating your arrival. Although she doesn't appear nervous, she throws a couple of glances toward what you assume are the other two prostitutes at the front door. As you get closer, she takes a couple of slow steps and disappears around the corner. Continuing on your way, somewhat cautious of her behavior, you turn the front corner of the building and she's right there, leaning up against the wall in one of what you assume are one of many working girl poses.

With a quick up and down look at the lot of you, she pushes lithely off the wall. Addressing Lissewa, she speaks just loud enough for all of you to hear. "You're Lissewa, right?" She punctuates the question with a knowing, confident hint of a smile, eyebrow cocked ever so slightly. The stench of the Bonadan air doesn't seem to bother her at all.

Beyond her, you see one of the prostitutes you saw on the ride in, a human, lazily strut into the cantina, leaving the other, another Twi'lek, still at the front door working solo. Another speeder, a luxury sedan model with red tinted windows and an irridescent purple paint job, drifts into the parking lot, heading toward the back around the opposite side of the building from where you are. A piece of lonely debris bounces along down the street, picked up for a couple of seconds by a gust of wind.
Mar 16, 2017 7:47 pm
Lissewa followed the rest of her companions towards the entrance of the cantina, keeping her eyes open for any signs of Nash. She had considered calling him on her comlink but she would wait until they got inside to see if he was already there waiting.

Her attention was called back to the immediate area when she was addressed by name. She blinked at the Twi'lek, taking a good look at who was talking to her and going over in her mind the best way to approach the situation. She would need to be careful this time. She didn't want to get herself or the others into any trouble they didn't expect.

She adopted a sultry tone, eyeing her closely. "Well beautiful, that depends on who is asking." She was sending the signal that she was more interested in what the girl had to offer, than the question she was asked. It wasn't hard because she really was quite fetching.

Hawke normally relied upon his armor and helmet to hide his body language and emotions from observers, but at the moment he felt the need to clamp down on the revulsion welling up within him. How anyone could want to lay with a twi'lek was beyond him. They and most other races were so Progenitor-damn ugly. By the Force all of that bare skin made them look like someone shaved them bare and the creepy tentacles on twi'leks and togruta just...

Wookies at least have a layer of fur, Hawke thought to himself, even if he found the thought of laying with a wookie just as revolting. Really, nothing but other ganks got his attention.

Forcing down another upwelling of disgust and revulsion, Hawke leaned against an alleywall with his hand resting near the handle to his blaster.
Mar 16, 2017 10:17 pm
Krosus closes his eye's for a moment trying to will the headache developing away. Peace is a lie, he recites to himself. Lissi is talking with the Twi'lek now. It's obvious she was placed here to intercept us. For now he will let her handle the conversation, but he will pay close attention to what is being said. They can't afford another slip up. There is only passion. The throbbing seems to be letting up some.

He opens his eye's.
Mar 18, 2017 2:03 am
Tajanna stood back from the front of the group, allowing Lissewa to deal with the other twi'lek without interference.

Hopefully we won't be getting into a firefight before we even meet Nash. Keeping a low profile in this portion of our operation is paramount, and we've already made several slip-ups on that front. But given that this twi'lek knows Lissewa's name, it's likely she's either working for Nash, or for our opposition. And one of those can't lead to anything but conflict.

The prostitute is taken aback for a moment, then flashes a flirty smile at Lissewa, accompanied by a subtle shift in pose that accentuates the profile of her curves. "Hmmm. Well," she says, voice like honey, "I might be able to fit you in later, but I'm already on the clock. Client's got me keeping an eye out, and I only do one client at a time." She gave Krosus a lingering glance. "Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule."

Back to the task at hand, she gives the group another once over. "C'mon. You're Lissewa... right? You've got to be. I mean, you and your friends fit the bill... purple Twi'lek, a Chiss, a pair of robed types, and a guy rocking head to toe armor."

She glances over her shoulder toward the front door, then back at the group, then Lissewa. "Trust me." Another smile. "Just follow me, and I can take you to meet my client."

Good call on the roll Squeeks, as it is a Deception wherein you are allowing the possibility that you are not Lissewa (and she has the potential to see through it, even if the situation is just a more light-hearted one). Although my roll was better than your placeholder, there was a lot of setback because your group perfectly fits the description she was given, and the prostitute sees through any attempt to keep your identity vague.

Also, hopefully everyone is comfortable with the narrative above (remember, our Star Wars game is meant to be edgier, darker). Just keeping my prostitute as believable as possible, and Lissewa and Krosus both have good Presence.
Mar 21, 2017 2:55 am
Eyes narrowed, Hawke cautiously followed the red-skinned twi'lek. His hand never strayed far from the blaster, regardless of the fact that he had never used one before in his life. Better to give off the illusion that he knew how to use it than keep his hand hovering near a concealed weapon. That would be like keeping a pair of armed guards in front of a secret passageway!

Does your client have a name? Hawke growled out, intentionally lowering the register of his voice and letting the reverb of his implants do the rest.
OOC:
Though he's not very good at it, Hawke's using Coercion to try to draw out some more information from the prostitute.
EDIT: Just looked at Hawke's sheet, and it's reading his Coercion as YG. I can't find where the green is coming from so I'm assuming that it's a typo.

Tajanna followed along behind the red-skinned twi'lek cautiously, keeping an eye out for any tricks, and her hands ready to draw her weapons if necessary.

This could be a trap, but it's more likely this twi'lek was hired by Nash to keep a lookout for our arrival. If so, it would have been prudent for him to tell us about this arrangement when we were discussing this meeting, to avoid any potential unpleasant misunderstandings. It would be rather foolish for him to be waiting around in the open, given his recognizable facial features and underworld notoriety. And our current adversaries haven't seemed the type to pull deceptive schemes like this, but any complacency to the possibility that they are is an unacceptable weakness, and a critical liability to our mission.

This was an invitation, and I'm not assuming everyone wants to go, or doesn't have questions first (like Hawke). Your characters, your choices, and I'm not going to nudge over half the group along into the Dead Drop. Right now we have 2 out of 5, which leaves Krosus, Lexi, and Lissewa undecided.

Hawke has a 2 Willpower, which gives a dice pool of 2 green. Looking at his 'Skills Upgrade Record' on the character sheet, under 'Non-Career Skills', he has one 1 rank from species in Coercion, which converts one of the green from Willpower into a yellow, resulting in a final pool of YG. Since we're waiting on some of the other players anyway, go ahead and roll your green dice Meribson, then let me know the tally in your post for today.

Nash probably left this one here to watch for us. Makes sense. She wouldn't be out of place and he would be able to keep out of sight while waiting for us. Unless our communications have been compromised, he is likely the only one to know about our meeting here so I doubt it's a trap. That speeder from before may have been someone trying to use us to find him although why they would decide to destroy us when we found them out doesn't really fit that explanation.

Lissewa contemplated these things as she followed the Twi'lek and the others into the Dead Drop.
Mar 21, 2017 1:58 pm
Lexi, having been stopped by the appearance of the red Twi'lek, fell to the back of the group as Lissewa moved forward to speak with her.

Another Progenitor-damned road block. I swear, the Sith empire could be brought low by simply putting stumbling blocks in the way of every advance. Like a child tripping on a rock. The urge to burn and slash is getting stronger. We've already been delayed in our true mission, every additional detour now adds time that I can't be doing my job as an Eye. I'm feeling myself get jumpier every time something happens. The traffic jam? Had I been more on point, I would have spotted the threat ages before getting into a situation that required such flashy maneuvering. Now we've got a simple meet complicated by the prattling of prostitutes.

She felt the Darkness start to wrap its tendrils through her thoughts as she struggled to keep her hands away from the concealed lightsaber hilt near her back. Instead, she forced her hand to sit on her slugthrower butt all while forcing her lips to stay closed.

Lead the way and we will follow. Krosus says falling in step behind the prostitute. It would be prudent of you tell us who your client is? After all we do have a scheduled plan and it would be most unfortunate if we where delayed or hindered from that task.

He didn't believe that they were heading into a trap. It was better to be on the safe side though and even if it was a trap. Sometimes you just had to spring it; or at least that's what lord Krawley had told him once before. He was defiantly unsure of the wisdom of this tactic, but it may be the only option sometime.

Okay, moving on. I'm posting it about 12 hours early, but this is my official post for our March 22nd game day.

Drama, whatver you're rolling for, I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Trying to have Lexi control herself (Cool/Discipline) would be unnecessary to roll for, unless you wanted to put the dice in control of your character's 'self control' for a moment? Deception to conceal that you're struggling to keep your hands off your saber? Again, unnecessary unless you're trying to leave things to chance and open up the door to randomness. Just really not sure what you rolled for. Would you please clarify?

A steady breeze is picking up as the prostitute leads you toward the entrance. Along the way, Hawke's efforts to intimidate her go unnoticed; perhaps she's used to such efforts, given the neighborhood and her line of work. Krosus, however, manages to get on the prostitute's good side in the few steps it takes to get to the front door. Although he doesn't work her over with a silver tongue, he effortlessly hits home with a bit of well-timed authoritarian charm, amplified by what seems to be a natural attraction to Krosus on her part.

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/2ldcn1p8e1dekhp/sexy%20twilek%20copy.jpg

Stopping just outside the entrance, she finally gives in to Krosus 'all-business' pragmatism with a smile. Leaning in close to him, she speaks only loud enough so all of you can hear. "Okay, okay. Just because you're so... I don't know..." She seems flustered, unsure of what to say. Krosus gets the impression that his charm, in this case, seems to stem from his nonchalant demeanor toward the prostitute, which, based on her looks, is something she is not used to. She bites her lip, then playfully sighs. "Well, he said you'd know him anyway, and I'm sure you're who he told me to watch for. His name's Nash... you know, handsome on one side, not so much on the other? Sound famil---"

The other Twi'lek prostitute interrupts, sliding in to the conversation, pressing close to Krosus, subtly pushing up against him, clearly trying to work. "Hey baby. Haven't seen you 'round before." She looks at Red (the first prostitute you encountered), giggles, then back up at Krosus, tracing a finger down his chest. "You know, I'm not busy now either..."

Tajanna smirked at Krosus, while keeping to the edge of the group.

"Wow, I didn't know you were such a ladies' man, "Kay". We can continue ahead without you, if you're wanting to busy yourself here for a bit."

We probably should have come up with pseudonyms for ourselves beforehand, to prevent anyone unwelcome from overhearing our real identities. Hopefully Krosus understands my intent with my impromptu nickname. And I don't like that we've been interrupted on our way to meet Nash, but it's more likely that this green twi'lek is simply looking for work, rather than deliberately intercepting us. But, we'd best not linger much longer, just in case.
OOC:
I'm rolling a Deception check just in case referring to Krosus by a pseudonym counts as an untruth.

OOC:
General thought was based on the "any hint of a lie needs a deception roll" philosophy. She's far from comfortable and my thought was if I needed to roll to cover her physical "lie" that she's attempting to appear comfortable and not ready to pull out her blade and start separating heads from necks. If it's not needed and we're fine with just the prose part of it, cool. Just wanted to make sure I had a roll there if needed.
Not too busy, eh? Must be why you're looking to score some credits without having to put out the work first. Best that you extract yourself, return his property, and ply your wares elsewhere, savvy? Lexi said, her face now wrenched in a feral grin as her fingers tap against the slugthrower absentmindedly. Were you ever that clumsy with a mark, friend? she asked Lissewa, noticing the uncharacteristic "nickname" that Tajanna had used.

Is it possible we've started thinking with more operational security in mind? False names or some other form of address would probably have been a good start. We knew it was a thing, even with Flesh Crawler, he had a working alias as well as the Flesh Crawler title. We should discuss it when our ears are our own again.

Lissewa hadn't noticed the act herself but quickly picked up on what Lexi was implying. "No, I never had to resort to such methods. They wanted me around. On the other hand, I was never paid so...

She let her sentence drift off into silence. She pushed forward with the others eager to get on with the mission. "Let's not waste anymore time."

Krosus gently places his hands on the green Twi'leks arm. Charming as you are, i hope you don't take me as an easy mark. So if you will put back what you found i will forgive this lack of judgment on your part. To also make it clear, the team of us are off limits. We are not to be trifled with, so pass the word around.

The only thing of value she could have found in that pocket would have been his comlink. His lightsaber and credit chip were both tucked away on his belt deep behind his back. Hopefully the Twi'lek will heed his words and pass around the message.

No more delays. Time to talk to Nash.

After graduation I never thought I'd be using all of the discipline training from the Arcology to keep from vomiting in revulsion, Hawke thought to himself as yet another shaved rat-head propositioned the team's Niman specialist.

Thankfully, he seemed to be of a similar mind as he pushed her away.

Agreed. We have been delayed long enough as it is.

Tajanna gestured for the red twi'lek to continue leading the way forward, as the group had seemed to reach a consensus on that course of action.

Really, going around threatening local prostitutes? That's not how you stay inconspicuous. We should really have a team discussion about mission protocols when we get back to the Spear. This entire neighbourhood is now going to know about our visit, and that information will no doubt filter back to our current adversaries, and to anyone else in power with potential interest in our activities. We don't need even more regional power-brokers to know that a mysterious group of covert-ish operatives are mucking around on their turf.

There are some notes in the OOC General Chat that everyone should read as a reminder for PbP gameplay mechanics, to help us avoid retcons and improve clarity of communication.

The Pickpocket prostitute lets go of Krosus' datapad just before Hawke pushes her away. Fearful, she takes a few steps back from the group, eyes shifting around. Suddenly, she points a finger at your guide, the prostitute who says she knows Nash. "It was her idea! She's the one who put me up to it. Made me do it, I swear! I owe her some creds an--"

The Guide prostitute cuts her off, almost screeching. "You lying, broke-ass desperate BITCH!" She abruptly moves toward the Pickpocket, her body language threatening, wagging a finger in the Pickpocket's face. "You shut your LYING, SKANK BITCH mouth RIGHT NOW, or I'm gonna sh--!!"

The Pickpocket reacts, stepping toward the Guide. "Gonna what, BITCH! Get your STANK ass, BANTHA SHIT smelling finger outta my face, RIGHT NOW, or I'll beat your a--"

The Guide cuts the Pickpocket off again. The two of them seem easily on the edge of a 'tusk cat' fight.

Okay this has gone on quite long enough.

Lissewa stepped towards the two of them, not standing between them but close enough to place her hands on each of their shoulders should they allow it.

"Ladies, please. This is no way for professionals to behave in front of possible clients. It doesn't matter who was responsible for the theft, what matters is that it failed and you should now focus on doing the jobs you are actually paid to do. This fighting is only wasting precious and profitable moments out of your day. Let's just settle down and go about our business. You can continue your discussion when you aren't working anymore, away from prying eyes and ears."

Lissewa's smile was as genuine as they come although as always it is unclear what exactly she finds so amusing. Placating the two of them would ultimately serve in her best interest. They were already attracting more attention than they needed and adding a fight between prostitutes in front of their 'secret' meeting place would not help one bit.
OOC:
Making a charm check. Time to move this along. Please keep in mind conditional use of Congenial will come in play here. Spend strain to decrease difficulty of check as applicable.

Krosus folds his arms over his chest as the prostitutes call each other out. Some would find it amusing, even bordering on the erotic. To him it was nothing more than a waste of time. Despite his calm and charming demeanor these females were nothing more than a means to and end for him and right now they had no value. If he didn't think it would draw even more unwanted attention, he would have forced choked them both out right here on the spot and proceeded on with out further delay. As it was though at least Lexi was trying to intervene in this spectacle. He would take the time to watch and see how his teammate handles the situation. Otherwise he was en-favor of just letting them fight while they moved on.

Is there anyone on this planet that can give us a straight answer about anything?

Hawke could feel his temper beginning to boil, and he knew that if this went on much longer then he'd loose control.

Can you fight later? Preferably after we've been guided to Nash?

Ah, the green twi'lek attempted to rob Krosus. And now she's trying to blame the red twi'lek, and not doing a very convincing job of it.

Tajanna turned to address the two squabbling twi'lek.

"Agreed, you two can beat yourselves to a pulp later, if you so desire. Right now, we have business to attend to, and presumably so do you, so if we can all go take care of our respective businesses without further hassle, we might be willing to overlook that ill-advised attempt at thievery."
