OOC:
Sorry for the delay all, a crazy visit from ae_dd and work shenanigans and I feel like a horrible GM! Anyway, here we go.
No lad, nothing much to do but rest and drink and be here when we hold council tomorrow. It would be good for you to maybe learn more about the layout of more of the town. Perhaps we can set you with a map to learn more of the warrens. they say.
OOC:
At this point, we can either handwave away the rest of the day with a long rest and pick up with the council or you can choose to head through more of the area and talk with folks, purchase whatever you may need, or what have you.

OOC:
I'm down with either.

You all spend the remainder of the day relaxing at the Foaming Mug. The cook provides two more of the strider specials, very happy that Heartboiler seems to really enjoy the meal. Dustin continues to make his presence unknown and Cemos has been uncharacteristically quiet, in deep meditation and prayer to Dumathoin.

When the next day comes, you all find yourselves back with the Diggermattocks. What was a clear planning session and civil discussion time, today it is a clear war council. The pair from last night look up from the end of the large table covered with a map of Blingdenstone. There are several svirfneblin gathered around the table that you haven't seen as of yet.

Well met heroes. Come, we're discussing battle plans.
OOC:
As an aside, I am considering finding some more new players since one of our last two had to depart the site and the other got busy with life. It may be after this big battle that it happens though if you guys are down to stick it out.

Hello there. Mind if I have look at the map? What resources (warriors, weapons, defenses) will be available?

Heartboiler steps up behind some of the gathered svirfneblin, leaning forward, looking over their heads at the map. She stares at it for a few seconds, but maps were never her strong suit. She sighs, steps back and puts her hands on her hips. Look, I want to fight this, I would go right now if you want me to, but this slimy abomination is tactically at an advantage. I don't know how, but we have to do something to give US that advantage.

The war council looks at your collected presence. Well, Mr. Brew, let me introduce the folks we have here. This is Nomi Pathshutter, representative of the Stoneheart Enclave. She's recommended that we bring earth elementals to the fray, their stone would be very resilient in the face of all the slimes. says Dorbo Diggermattock

Another svirfneblin speaks up quickly. Oh aye, it would be powerful useful, if that damn Ogrémoch’s Bane were gone. Needs a powerful magic to get rid of it though. You all cleansed the Steadfast Stone, which'll help. But that mist's gotta be banished.

Yes yes Gurnik. We know about Ogrémoch’s Bane. If we could do that and find Entémoch’s Boon, we would be able to call up even more powerful servants to join in the defense. Nomi says, an almost dismissive wave towards the other gnome.

Quiet you two, we have others to introduce. Dorbo continues. Kazook Pickshine here, who I believe you've either met or heard of, he thinks he can mass produce some oils to protect weapons and armor from the acid. But he needs supplies from Neverlight Grove, which we can't afford to send people before. he continues, pointing to another of the gnomes.

Burrow Warden Jadger floats nearby, his incorporeal body swirling in a haze of mist. These surfacers have done well, though not well enough for me to send any of the other spirits out after them. We've been too busy trying to keep Vazuk at bay. If you heroes could see fit to deal with that vile spirit, I imagine we would be free enough to rally around the other svirfneblin in the fight!

Dorbo looks around. We would be best to press our attack from the Steadfast Stone. I'm sure you all saw the rocks there, you said you fought some yellow slime creatures there. Kazook has also generously offered to make a concoction that will blow those rocks away so we can attack with some surprise. The Miner's Guild leader nods, with a wicked grin on his face.

The female gnome standing near Dorbo looks over to the gnome. There is one group you've forgotten. We have to deal with the Goldwhiskers. They would be a danger to our backs if we don't deal with them.

Yes Senni. Dorbo says, looking back at all of you.

Well adventurers, that's the resources we have. What are your thoughts?
OOC:
Cemos has been off for a month at this point, and I know that Rypid is just easing back into games. That leaves Heartboiler and Bildaweer as our two active players. We can approach the remainder of our time here in Blingdenstone a few ways, whichever makes you all happier. I can just DMPC Cemos for a while, and we play as we have been. We can cobble together some kind of cinematic type experience to get through this segment and then see about bringing in some new blood as you move on from here. Really kind of up to you two. :)

What do you want to do ae?

OOC:
So sorry for taking so long before responding. Here's the deal: my head and life haven't been the in best place, making it hard to invest time into all games. I really like this game and where it's going, but if it's just the two of us I really want to put more energy in the game then I can at the moment. I would almost like to suggest a pause, which basically we're doing right now. There's so much we can do and so much information, it would feel like a shame if we just glossed over it... But actually playing this thing out with just us two/three sounds like a proper challenge as well.
So in the end, I don't know....
