Here's a list of movies that have good inspiration. Most are Japanese language films or anime.

Hara-Kiri: Death of a Samurai

Remake of the 1962 film. Recaps the story of a suicide bluffs and the Samurai that wish to retain their honor by killing themselves at the house of a noble. Similar to general Japanese cinema, there is a bit of a slow building story in the middle endcapped by pay-off.

When the Last Sword is Drawn

Movie that recaps the life of a mercenary who used to be a retainer of a noble house. He is quirky and happy and is despised by some others because he dishonors himself for money. However, he fights well and always fights with honor.

Snow on the Blades

After failing to protect his liege lord from assassination, a dishonored Samurai is tasked with tracking down the assassins in a changing world that is beginning to adopt Western culture and forget traditional Japanese values.

13 Assassins

Remake of the 1963 film, 13 Assassins covers the struggles of 13 ronin that seek to assassinate a cruel local leader. Their tactics allow them to take on a much larger force.

Shigurui: Death Frenzy

Brutal and violent anime about the history between two combatants in a live steel tournament. Both started at the same dojo but due to intrigue and jealousy, one ended up blind and the other with only one arm.
