"...until next time, goodnight." The radio plays a few minutes longer before the battery dies. Goldaline looks up, considers cranking it up for a few more minutes, but decides against it. The music and talk help drown out the howls and the ticking she sometimes hears, but tonight she is too busy to think about it. She has to remember the plan.

Flashback - mid afternoon
Toni is several years younger, but there aren't many options for friends around here. Especially friends that invite you to a sleepover. Goldaline was so excited, she almost didn't notice Killer arguing with someone just outside Pop's place. Quickly ending the conversation, she snuck out the back door just before he got in. That guy... could he be? But why are they here? And out in the open?

So: pack the bag, camouflage the den's entrance, kill some time watching the storm clouds roll in, then sneak into the window Toni is supposed to leave open. Her dad should never even know.

Out in the streets, the clouds look even darker than usual. "Storm's gonna be big! Better not start rainin' till I get there," Goldaline mumbles as she speeds up to a jog. She stops to sit on an empty rooftop about a block away from Toni and Killer's home. When she feels enough time has passed that she can sneak into Toni's room unnoticed, Goldaline hops back to her feet. Then she notices right behind where she was sitting, a brand new, pristinely wrapped, Kit-Kat. Now where did that come from? She snatches it up and shoves it in one of her pockets. She can share it with her new best friend. It's time for the sleepover!

OOC:
'Killer' is definitely making sure that Toni leaves a window open. He might forget to pack away some of their dinner, as well.
