Greetings gamers.

Our EotE game, A Disruptive Commodity, has 2 new open slots. Some of our original players have been missing for awhile, so we decided it was time to open up their spots. We currently have the following roles covered: Thief (Shadow from FaD), Bodyguard, Doctor, and Face (Scoundrel). However, our Pilot and our Slicer are missing. We could have a backup slicer in our Doctor and a backup Pilot in the Bodyguard or Face, so you're welcome to play whatever role you wish.

Currently, our players have been on Svivren during the Festival of Great Trade. Weapons are illegal on world, save for certain licensed stun guns. They have been contracted to escort Dr. Eliasan to a sector rather far core-ward in time for a medical conference, so that she can announce her research. But things are a little riskier than they may seem: the Empire and the Black Sun are both on planet, and Dr Eliasan is already pursued by mysterious observers. Before they can escort her offworld they have to get her to the ship—alive.

Anyone interested in joining? This is a very good time to jump your character into the storyline.

I'm thinking about a Gank Slicer. What's the starting Obligation and how much bonus obligation are you allowing? Cybernetics are expensive...

A Gank slicer would be interesting. Starting obligation is 10 and bonus is 5-10, and I think that we have 30 point of room before the party again hits 100% obligation. And if we get another player, I'll cut base obligation to 5.

How similar is EothE to Force and Destiny? I was very much looking forward to the F&D game but the gm seems to have vanished on us. Through this I could still get my Star Wars fix!

To speed things up (since I'd need to acquire the book and read it) I'm happy picking a species, career and subjecting myself to whatever build anoth player or the gm toss my way that fits the rough idea I lay down,

Same setting, just different classes/races. And its all compatible, so its up to the GM to decide. EotE was more about the outer rim, featuring more off the cuff people and almost no force users. Age of Rebellion was more about the mid regions, featuring more combat oriented characters, with F&D being mostly coreish, featuring the most force.

Well, if the GM is ok with it I'm *more than happy* to bring my force user along ;)

I'd love to have you join us, Candi, but we restricted starting characters to EotE careers with one exception. To save XP our theif started with the FaD Shadow class, but without a lightsaber. Callisto is, for all intents and purposes of story, just a theif with a force rating.

I think it would probably be unfair to the other players to allow another FaD character, this one with a saber. Are you willing to roll up an EotE character? All you really need are the specializations and I can advise with selecting obligation and species (as can the other players). EotE is extremely close to FaD with some differences in theme only.

If you want, I'll ask the other players if they don't mind allowing an FaD padawan in. If they're okay with it, I would probably say yes anyway.

I'm happy either way. The fastest entry route is to just take my FaD character and bring her over. That said, I'm also happy to pick a specialiZation, species and then take advice on a build (that shouldn't take more than a couple days to get together). My padawan is a strictly combat oriented build, so that may also create a lot of overlap. So, after thinking it out, let's just go with the rules everyone else followed. I'll pick an EotE specialization and go from there :)

Sounds good to me, welcome to the game! Feel free to start a thread in the character creation subforum and we can help you through the process.

Ah, I thought I had subscribed to this thread, oops...
So do you still have room for one more? If so, I'm still interested.

Yeah, I have room for one more. Welcome to the game, Thrakazog.
