The Year is 10,606 Tho Yor Arrival (TYA)
It was more than 10,000 years ago the Ancestors were brought to Tython by the Tho Yor. Nameless and faceless - those monolithic, space-faring ziggurats encompassing all we know of them - the Tho Yor distributed the Ancestors at nine locations scattered across the surface of Tython. At each location, the Ancestors built a Temple of knowledge and learning dedicated to what would come to embody the core principles of the Je'daii Order. Science, arts, healing, martial arts, knowledge, fabrication, the Force, tutelage, and balance.
As one young in the Force, you have completed your years of tutelage at Padawan Kesh, the temple of the Je'daii Academy. And now it is time to embark upon the Great Journey. You are now a Je'daii Journeyer. To know your destiny you must endeavor to travel to each of the nine Je'daii Temples, and learn the skills and lessons that can be taught there. Only then may you perhaps someday become a Je'daii Ranger... if it is your destiny. It is a long and perilous journey with dangers coming from all around you... and from within.
So let the words of the Je'daii Order steel you, and be your guide:
There is no ignorance
There is knowledge
There is no fear
There is power
I am the heart of the Force
I am the revealing fire of light
I am the mystery of darkness
In balance with chaos and harmony
Immortal in the Force
As for the rest of the System... For more than 6,000 years, the Je'daii Order has presided over an era of relative peace in the Tython System. Not as rulers, but as diplomats, regents, arbiters, and enforcers... and as spies and saboteurs and other less straight-forward roles, all under the guidance of the Je'daii Council of Masters.
But that peace is becoming strained. There are powerful nations and powerful families, that while they may have long-resented the Je'daii "meddling", that resentment is now reaching a boiling point. Je'daii are slowly but surely being rejected and ejected from positions amongst some of these interplanetary powers. Open defiance of Je'daii "agendas" is becoming more common place.
But will it reach Tython? The home and seat of the Je'daii. The planet from which all non-Force users are banned. Time will tell.
