A Brief History

The Beginning
The Gods created the World as we know it on a date known by all as the year 0 Thargall. They divided the World into several continents – 3 are known. The known continents are Bitruss, Feingull, and Trimight. This history covers primarily Bitruss.
From the beginning of time, there has been peace on Bitruss. Eventually three main Kingdoms developed: The Forestknight Elven Kingdom, The Mountainking Dwarf Kingdom, and The Plainrule Human Kingdom. Other races exist among these Kingdoms, but these three dominated the continent while remaining peaceful with each other.
The Kingdoms solidified their reign in the year 1720 Thargall with a treaty signed by the leaders: Aliana Forestknight, Thorgulf Mountainking, and Jannik Plainrule. The treaty stated that the three kingdoms would trade and remain peaceful until the death of all three rulers, at which time the three kingdoms would reconvene. This treaty remained in place until one fateful day. In the year 1764 Thargall, with the aging human king Jannik Plainrule on his deathbed, his three sons plotted to take the throne for themselves.

The oldest, Sir Fenrik Plainrule, made his lifestyle through the study of the arcane arts. From a young age, Fenrik showed an interest in the arcane. Once he became 13, he was sent to the Wizards’ College to hone his skills. Once he graduated, he returned home to become his father’s Chief Advisor.
The second child, Sir Armon Plainrule, was a warrior, through and through. He began his training at age 6 and by the time he was 15 he was already a fierce warrior in the army. 2 years after he father named Fenrik his Chief Advisor, Armon became the Military Advisor.

The youngest, Hektor Plainrule, had a knack for speech and trade. He became the apprentice to the Merchant Leader of the Kingdom. He learned quickly and replaced him after his death, 1 year after Fenrik returned to become Chief Advisor.
All three felt they had claim to the throne. Fenrik was the oldest and legally the heir. Armon believed the General had the right to rule. Hektor felt the only way to progress was through trade and building the treasury.

When Jannik died, a Civil War broke out. Fenrik utilized his contacts at the Wizards’ College to build a small force. Armon used the full might of the Army. Hektor use his contacts with the other Kingdoms to build a multi-racial Army. After a long, bloody war, Armon claimed victory. With his victory, he beheaded his brothers, disbanded the Wizards’ College and claimed treason against the other Kingdoms. The war ended in 1770 Thargall. For the next 100 years, war between the humans, elves, and dwarves and their allies raged. Armon passed the war down to his only son, Fainrill, the current king.

Various sects of followers from the other two brothers still exist; especially considering Armon and his son are cruel tyrants to all non-humans and non-human sympathizers.
