Joined for pardon, then glory and thrill
Rattlesnake used to be a brigand before she was recruited. She is known to utilize quick strikes, poison, and intimidation in violent conflicts. She is barely 5 ft tall but is considered a menace by many.

Jorrel SparthrushAge: 42
Background: Soldier
Reason for joining Empire: Jorrel was a soldier in the great army for many years, serving in the campaigns defending against the non-humans. He rose to be a bannerman, receiving recognition for heroism. During the siege of a dwarven mountain fort near Veritas, Jorrel led a charge but was overwhelmed by dwarves. He was cast from the walls and fell to the rocks below, lying mangled until after the battle. He lived as a twisted monstrosity for years, lamenting that he never got an honourable death. Eventually a priest visited the hospice he lived in and called on the power of a god to relieve the suffering of this poor man. To the surprise of both, Jorrel's broken bones broke again, then set in the correct positions. It was agony, but within a few hours Jorrel was once again whole. He dedicated himself to the god, and rededicated himself to the cause of the Empire right there, hoping to regain his lost honour.

Edwin Straekman

Background: Criminal
Reason for joining Empire: When Edwin was a younger man, he fell in with a street gang. Low level larceny and a bit of "selective removal of personages". When he ran with them, he earned a reputation for being willing (not to mention able) to quietly slip into a mark's home and obtain whatever the group required. Fast fingers and fleet of foot. He learned very quickly that people would hide valuables in hidden safes, trapped chests, and the like. He allowed his competency to overshadow good sense. During one heist, he was working a job, his girlfriend serving as a lookout for him. He failed to do a quality job confirming there were no interlopers. When a guard happened upon the heist, he ran. She wasn't so lucky, and caught a crossbow bolt between the shoulders for her troubles. When he heard her hit the ground his world stopped turning for a moment, and he was captured. On trial, he was given a choice of joining the Empire or serving time in a cell. Seeing the chance to make money, he opted to join up, where he was put to the task of helping groups infiltrate targets.

In general, he's a saboteur/burglar type guy. Takes the time to shut down traps, pop locks, and generally take care of clandestine needs.

Make sure on your character sheet you add the personality traits, etc.

Mine are all in the "background stuff" 'feat'. I can move them elsewhere if you'd like. :)

Alright. About to pull in Lux and Guille. You guys are members of the Empire, ranked below Eris. Eris sought you out in the city to fill in the shrinking group he has been tasked with babysitting.

Orrin Bluth grew up in a wealthy family with every bit of privilege provided to him. As he grew into a young man he became disillusioned by the money and extravagance and left his family fortune behind and joined a monastery of shadows in his home city of Thargall. He is still recognized if found in the right environment but now lives a humble lifestyle following the monastic teachings. Learned in martial arts he is ready to find his way in the morally grey world.

Many may have seen him in the arena a time or two. Goes by the handle Xelarate. Due to his flair and need to have the attention. He either seems to go out to quickly or submits the opposition the same.
