What I liked Best
Playing with you guys.
Jabes One might mistaken Jabes as a little RPG slut since he's in just about every game here on GP. And you would be absolutely right. But don't let that fool you! I find myself often waiting eagerly for Jabes' next Ivor post, OOC and IC both.
Ez. This fucking nerd. The depth to Kray is fascinating and a great goal post for marrying grit, world lore, and personal creativity. Not to mention the amount of work he has put in on the boards to help keep things organized (like here and here) There is also the worthy mention of the thought he put in before DT:RotA was even a thing, throwing around ideas with J and pulling for this to become a reality. Thanks man.
Ox. My brother in death. We will forever share the honor of being the only two players that made sure J couldn't get away with fudging the dice and playing favorites. He has also put in the time and helped keep things organized. He also rolls for HP like a real man.
X. He also rolls for HP. Like a real man. Thorn is also an amazing badass that holds the world lore up high and makes it a centerpiece. So much is described between Kray and Thorn, that it is hard to tell where J's ideas end and where these guys have taken over.
J. He has created an intensely rich world and found the right players to soak up all that goodness and bring it out in their characters. I've spent hours reading and writing posts, and I know he's spent much more doing that in addition to his world building, planning, and accounting on nerdy spreadsheets. My only complaint is that J whines like a little pussy.
What I Didn't Like
As you all have mentioned already, PbP has its good side and bad side. Typing things out takes such a great amount of time for so little said. In person games just flow so much faster. However, it is also very forgiving and I can post any random chance I get. We also have everything documented and "easy" to find, to help recall what was said previously. Playing in person takes some hard as hell to organize - scheduling, showing up, and lasting the whole session. Then the next session only one or two remember what had happened last time.
I'm looking into what I can do about making this site more searchable.
