Defensive Structures: A few cities have stone and brick walls. Some of the palaces and villas of the Nasi could be considered fortresses of moderate strength.

Likely the most formidable structures are the ziggurats and temple towers that exist at the center of the largest Heshbaan cities. In the religious tradition, the towers are built high so that the Dasnishi can get high into the sky to be close to Goldna Ad Dasnish, and the structures are strong so that they can contain the god's voice and commands.

A Heshbaan ziggurat. Not purposed as a military structure, but a rather impressive construction that can be used defensively to a degree.

Military Units: Cities have a variety of armed troops, from light arms to medium arms, with maybe a few elite mounted soldiers who wield the best weapons and armor. Armed troops are under the command of the Nasi in most cities, and under the Sar in the city of Gelshemish. Soldiers and police force are taken from the same units.

Rural areas are generally not patrolled in a organized manner. Smaller communities are protected by local militias rather than troops organized under any central command.

Heshbaans are generally known as being spearmen and javelin throwers. Highest technology sword-making is not prevalent in the region. Many of the highest quality swords and advanced steel arms of the era are usually exports, and therefore rather expensive, making them more rare than in other markets.
