How can I make combat with pretty mindless enemies entertaining for you guys? I find that going "he attacks, he attacks, he attacks" over and over again would get quite boring but I can't realistically say that a construct programmed to destroy would do anything else.

I'm honestly fine with it but if you want just add more detail, "As the dark smoke filled eyes move from Baroth to Ryn, its spectral hand strikes out, desperately searching to steal the life force of its next victim." I'm good with the storytelling aspect not matching up 100% with the mechanics of the game. It may be a construct, but I saw it more as a spectral creature trying to either A. go after anyone who disturbed its rest, or B. attack and try to steal their life essence to become more powerful.
But again, if you don't have time for it, I'm good with something simple like the hand reaches out for another strike.

No, the specter was a legit ghost and that's exactly what I should have played it more as. I was refering to the armor as a more apt representation of the monotonous way of things. Really, it should improve as you guys gain more options with your turns and items to ease encounters in cool ways.

I'm more worried that I've been posting enough. It's hard to post as much as some of you sometimes. Hopefully I haven't held things up too much.

HP question, can we take the average or do we need to roll?

You can take the average or roll. In fact, for the first few levels, I recommend taking the average so you aren't crippled when you get a bad roll.

Who would be interested in kicking inactive players and reviving the game?

Do either of you know if Titan is still with us?

Titan was supposed to join my Out of the Abyss game a while back, but he told me that he was active on DNDBeyond now and wasn’t interested. I am not sure if that spilled into his other games here, though.

Well, I won't kick him yet but I will control his character until a day passes or he responds to my PM. Then I'll either kick him or allow him to assume control again.

Also, after we get the Titan thing sorted out and we know how many players we're looking for, then I can put a post in the tavern for players to join us.

I'm here, this week has just been something special. Didn't really get to check in yesterday. I'm definitely interested in continuing.
