The Village of Teley
Teley is a frontier village of some 700 residents; primarily human, with a smattering of others. A stream runs through the town from northwest to southeast, coming down from the mountains. Teley is a popular stopping point for intrepid adventurers seeking to tame the uncharted wilderness north of town.

Surrounding Area
To the northwest is a large mountain range called Dragonspine, owing to the legend about it being formed over the bones of a massive and ancient dragon that was slain when it tried to overthrow the Gods themselves.

To the north and northeast is mostly forest and plains, eventually turning to ice and a large ocean beyond that.

Places of Note
The Singing Sword: An inn at the edge of town, near to the west gate. Frequented by adventurers who come through town seeking glory and wealth. Many locals come here just to hear the tales told by seasoned warriors and to hear the songs and stories of traveling bards.

The owner, Shenk, a retired adventurer, keeps his sword above the fireplace, which is where the establishment draws its name from.

The Blushing Maiden: An inn near the center of town, mostly frequented by locals. It's run by the Davar family, who've been in the village since its founding many years ago.

The Stone's Throw: A dwarven bakery specializing in travel breads and cookies. The brother and sister duo Balgrukki and Tharalsea Warbrow started their store as a means to supply long-lasting rations to wandering adventurers and anyone else that found themselves in Teley. While their "stone cookies" are loved by some and hated by others, no one can deny that this specialty is a Warbrow icon that can travel with the most serious of expeditions... including the return trip.

Horatio's Tower: A slumped-over tower on the edge of town, which is held up purely by magic at this point.

Ebongarde Tower: Owned and operated by the Ebongarde, a well-known company of adventurers who've set up outposts to train the next generation of adventurers to help safeguard the realms.

The Pits: The Pits is what the townsfolk call the small cavern complex near to the town that is used as a fighting arena. Often, for criminals who can't pay their fines, they are sent to the pits to work of their debt.

NPC's
Shenk: A retired adventurer who now runs The Singing Sword after taking an arrow to the knee. Has a pronounced lip and a scar from his forehead to his right ear where he almost lost his right ear.

Horatio Bluebottle: Gnome wizard and master of Englefeldt. He lives in a slumped-over tower on the edge of town, which is held up purely by magic at this point.

Balgrukki and Tharalsea Warbrow: Brother and sister owners of The Stone's Throw bakery.

Drek Hammerfist: Dwarven adventurer and recruiter for the Ebongarde station in Teley.

Linnel Moonsong: Elven cleric and member of the Ebongarde
