Alright so while I find a 6th to join us we are going to start discussing the crime syndicate.

What im looking for in suggestions.

Name & Identifier/Sigil: This can just be about anything you like. Maybe you have a clever name that touches base on some backgrounds? What are the colors and sigils that the group uses to identify themselves?

Business: You guys are going to start with only one type of business and the going will be small at first. Perhaps you have a brokerage with a spice producer to skim some of the product in return for protection? Perhaps you deal in some illegal good, but at low quantities given your resources? Its up to you guys but democracy will prevail on this.

Starting Resources: Id like each of you to rank these from most important to least important in your opinion. Its going to aggregate what starting resources your group has.

Ship
Connections to small cartels
Connections to large cartels
Connection to local governing body
Information Broker
Hired Muscle
Hideout
Treasury(CR)

Anything else about the syndicate will be discussed in here too should you have other ideas!

I really have no opinion regarding name, color or sigil. I was thinking of dealing in weapons which might bring us into contact with pirates, They would hijack the freight, sell to us, then we turn them around and deliver them to whoever we think could afford them or who deserved them. Dagit is friend of neither the empire or the rebels alliance. This could put us in touch with shady businesses, small governments looking to upgrade their defenses or small cartels who are looking to improve their goons. In this business model a ship would prove important to us to receive the goods from the pirates and deliver them to a wide variety of customers. We would probably start planetwide perhaps targeting small imperial forces until we could afford the ship and make the necessary piratical contacts.

So here is my ranking of goals for resources listed from most important to least important .
1) Ship
2) Connection to small cartels
3) Connection to local governing body
4) Information broker
5) Treasury
6) Hideout
7) Hired muscle
8) Connection to large cartels

Elistar has no love for the Empire but he's definitely not a friend of the Rebellion either. That being said he does have some morals, however skewed. I'd like to stay away from the slave trade.

Requisitioning things from others, and running less-than-reputable goods are probably my top two ideal starter Industries so to speak.

I think having a ship what allow us to do a lot more earlier.

1) Ship
2)Hideout
3)Connection to small cartels
4)Connection to local goverment
5)Information broker
6)Treasury
7)Hired Muscle
8)Connection to a larger cartel

I was thinking about calling the cartel Apex as in being the Pinnacle or the top with the goal of obviously getting there.

I like the idea of arms dealing, maybe not via stealing from Imperials (that can lead to all kinds of problems), and selling to local cartels or governments who need a cheaper alternative compared to imports.

For the logo I think apex is pretty good, maybe go one step further calling it Apex Predator, has a very dominant feel. I don't have much preference for colors

Resources:

1) Connections to Small Cartels
2) Connections to Local Government
3) Ship
4) Information Broker
5) Hideout
6) Treasury
7) Hired Muscle
8) Connection to Large Cartels

I like the Apex idea, and I'd be on board with the idea of shipping illicit goods (with weapons being as good an option as any). Xizen could handle making the deal, as well as tracking down any product that goes "missing."

1) Connections to small cartels
2) Connections to local government
3) Treasury
4) Hideout
5) Information Broker
6) Ship
7) Hired Muscle
8) Connection to Large Cartels.

Alright. Apex seems to be the direction as well as going forward into dealings with arms.

The work your involved in right now is quite small as your reputation isn't very established. As of now your clients feature a few engineers working on the planet that manufacture some illegal arms for private customers. Your ship will be a good, but not great one (im going to take some time to look into the ships and present you guys a choice of one of three good, but not great ships).

Your connections to small cartels is well established thanks to some previous dealings. You are closely allied with a illegal ship modifying cartel known as the Delta Black. They provided your ship at a very reasonable price. Sometimes the both of you solve each others problems, though usually some credits need to be pushed to the other to help smooth this process over.

Your relationship with the planetary government is good, but not great. A good chunk of expenses goes towards "donations" but on the bright side, they will usually look away unless heinous crime is blatantly committed in the open infront of many witnesses. They also have an agreement placed with many cartels on Socorro to call upon all cartels to donate resources or men to help defend the planet incase Imperials or other factions attack or attempt to invade the planet.

Your information Broker is a Bothan named Nokasc. Nokasc gives solid reliable information but can be hard to reach sometimes and is very dodgey. Hes connected you to your last few clients and doesnt charge too much for his services.

Your hideout is a warehouse on the outskirts of a moderately sized city on Soccoro named Vas Ulon. Its location is not the greatest but the space of the warehouse gives you ample room to store things, and with time, could be a decently formidable place. For now, alot of the credits paid towards this is going towards fees for using a hangar nearby for your ship.

Your syndicates treasury of credits is quite low at 500 Credits. You do make more than 500 credits on most transactions but after expenses and some skimmed off the top for yourselves there isnt a ton going into the treasury. As you can see you cannot afford major catastrophic events to happen to your syndicate such as destruction of your ship or loss of many clients. You also really cant afford to venture into other avenues of business quite yet.

As for hired muscle and connections to large cartels, these are in existent. You likely cant afford to hire the muscle and you dont have much business dealings yet that catch the eye of any of the larger cartels. Whether this is a good or a bad thing is dependant on the situation.

Im always partial to a yt 1300 haha, falcon clones :)
Apr 3, 2018 5:57 pm
I’d say go for the Ghtroc but I’m honestly easy with whatever
Apr 3, 2018 7:03 pm
I like the Ghtroc as well. It’s got decent capacity and weapons.
Apr 3, 2018 7:23 pm
I enjoy the stats on the Ghtroc as well, I'm not too big on space travel/combat myself though, so I don't have much preference.
Apr 3, 2018 9:26 pm
I've always preferred the YT-1300 or even the 2400 but that's a bit beyond our means now. What I like best about it are the 6 customization hard points.
Apr 4, 2018 9:05 pm
I have a soft spot for the Ghtroc myself. Hard Points are all well and good, but it's probably going to take us a while to work up the capital to use them.
Apr 4, 2018 9:30 pm
Ghtroc it is ;) Doesnt mean we cant steal a yt2400 later haha ;) I er mean acquire ;)
