Hey everyone, thanks for your desire to play in this cool setting. It'll take me some time to get everything up needed to create your characters (both because work literally just picked up steam, and because there is a bunch of potential content), so please just be patient with me at this point.

You are all welcome to discuss things here.

Also, I am going to use Angry GM's guide to inspiration for our quest here, so please figure out how you want to use it in game (link found here; the system is detailed in his first numeral).

Also, if you are interested in reading some Conan the Barbarian short stories to get yourself in the mood for sword and sorcery, here's a link.

Not sure whether this is useful but I found a Primeval Thule travelers guide.

Now that adds a lot of flavor. Too bad I don't have the attention span to read the whole thing. And, if I did, I would probably forget 90% of it within half an hour.

That's okay. I want it to be such that you don't have to read more than I post.

I will be putting some background stuff there, and I will feed you stuff that you all would know based on your chosen origins and such.

Hey everyone,

I am going to run a Pathfinder Playtest adaptation of Rise of the Runelords, Paizo's first Adventure Path.

We are looking for an additional 1-2 characters to join the party. I find the system to be pretty elegant in adding the things I like about Pathfinder along with some of the elements I like about 5th edition D&D. Here's a link to their free documents during their playtest phase of the game.

2 questions:
1. We are using the pre=gens available on that link?

2. If Kossk's only options, no matter the die roll, are death or unconsciousness. Correct?

Here are the answers:
(1) You can build your own character, or use a pre-generated character in the pathfinder playtest run of Rise of the Runelords.
(2) Kossk can avoid the attack with a natural 20, go unconscious, or straight-up die.

Does a minotaur... uh, statue... count as a 'beast', an 'animal' or is it some sort of magical creature? I'm wondering if Eyrun can try and use her Beast Friend / Animal Handling skills to halt or at least distract the creature?

Beast Friend or Animal Handling will not work on this particular creature...

Guys, I have been having an awful time getting the site to work. I've lost so many attempts to post I very close to rage-quitting. Is this a usual thing?

Not a usual thing, no, but I have had similar issues of late. Today it is working swimmingly, though.
