Rearranging Posts w/in a Thread

A thought -- I'm not sure if this has been posted before or not. It would be neat to be able to rearrange posts in a thread so that the GM can keep the narrative in order.

I’ve definitely wished for this feature, but I can imagine this being fairly challenging to implement.

This is doable but an interesting topic, as it'd be contrary to the current architecture of the site. Gamers' Plane is essentially a custom forum, and one of the tenants of a forum is chronology. Now, that doesn't mean it HAS to follow that model, that's just how it's built. I have some ideas based on this, but it would require an architecture overhaul of the forums, mostly because it would need a new layer of logic to determine the order of things, and how to figure out order between competing things (for example, latest posts, when in different threads, or when threads get merged or split). I also can't think of what the UI for this would look like off the top of my head.
