Character concept: A free-spirited (for her race) Qunari swordswoman who grew up trained to be a swordsmith by the demand of the Tamassrans. And in that discipline she was trained for her early life. She got her break serving as a fill-in quartermaster at a forward camp in enemy territory. When the camp was attacked, she had a chance to prove her worth, but was gripped by fear and fled, leaving her companions to die. Finding herself deep in enemy territory with no hope of escape, she shed all signs of the Qun that she carried and posed as a Vashoth. For some time she got by being homeless, but eventually she was taken in by a human swordsmith. Bewildered by the kindness of him and his family, her faith in the Qun faltered a little. When the Qunari established a foothold and took control of the region however, she was once again assimilated back into Qunari society. Over time, it became clearer and clearer to the authorities of the Qun that she no longer fit in. Despite her protests, she was forced to call in a favour from a friend in the Ben-Hassrath, she managed to buy herself a headstart against the re-educators. Fleeing to Fereldan, she now searches for work as a soldier of fortune, bent on outrunning the forces of the Qun, but never quite leaving them behind.

(I wasn't sure where the 'enemy territory' might have been. Perhaps Tevinter?)

I like your backstory, plenty of drama to incorporate, and Tevinter works for me. I've approved your character.
