Welcome to Waterdeep; Dragon Heist everyone!

This is the obligatory message to tell you that you can post out-of-character discussion and all that good stuff here. But you are all veterans of PbP, so you probably already knew that.

I've also set up a Discord server for this game. In Naat's Temple of Elemental Evil game it has been great to have, so we'll try to run both here too. I find discord easier to use on mobile than GP.

Welcome Jabes! Holy crap, you had amazing characters in the recruitment thread. It'll be a hard choice, but please feel free to choose your own. I have no idea how you will decide.

That goes for everyone; if your character idea has changed, or if it changes as you read other people's ideas, feel free to adjust your idea. You weren't selected strictly because of your character concepts (although they were great), you were selected because you are the people I want to game with for the next 12 months or however long it takes to run a 1-5 adventure in PbP :)

Looks like most of the discussion is going on in the Discord channel. In case you're not tuning in there, here's the update: Moofsalot is leaning toward a chatty Tabaxi Bard - "everyone’s favorite grandma, unless you cross her" - and Scalsclemski is leaning toward a Water Genasi Sorcerer. EvilSansCarne has completed his utterly competent but uncreative Kenku Rogue, Stitches, and CancerMan has finalized the quiet yet honourable outsider, Alastriona the Fallen Aasimar Paladin,

Seems like a party with all the bases covered. Looking forward to hearing what Jabes picks!

Hope to put the sheet together tonight when I have access to my laptop. It looks like I am playing Prince (have yet to rename him). Looking like a bard or a flashy fighter.

I've done this before, where I see the result and think it's a natural 20. Unfortunately, the roll was a 15.

"Well why wouldn't he?" I wonder to myself, before I remember it only adds a d6 so that's a result of 7 at best! *sad trombone*

It could go all the way up to 12 and on average, it is probably a 10, which is still pretty good given that it's a contested check vs. acrobatics and it is against 2 characters. And if he chooses to keep it instead, it might come in handy later.

Definitely a good use of the ability.

I was thinking he rolled a 1 (hence, 7 at best) but I was forgetting his RESULT was 6 so yeah the Inspiration MIGHT actually not be useless. Thanks!

Awww I hope he's okay. I don't sleep much, but qhen I do I often suffer from night terrors. Plus, I suffer from claustrophobia, which isn't helped by my severe sleep apnea. So I know it's easy to dismiss it as "just a dream" but it does take a toll.

Just a heads up I'm going to be on holiday from later today for just over a week. Should be able to post periodically but just NPC Butler rather than waiting on me if you need to move things along
