Welcome to Alpha Complex,
Even before your first clone was decanted, you were evaluated by Friend Computer and assigned to the service firm to which you would show the greatest aptitude. You take to your tasks quickly and perform them well.
While not at work you live in a barracks with 5 other infrared level citizens, eat nutritional foodstuffs and enjoy vidshows
One day, you observe a citizen engaging in treasonous behavior and you report it to the computer (either from the PDC you wear on your wrist, or in one of the many public confessional booths)
The familiar voice of the Computer says :
Thank you for your loyalty, Citizen, please standby
there is a buzzing hissing sound for a moment and then a message appears on the terminal screen
Congratulations
You have been selected by FRIEND COMPUTER for Mandatory Volunteer Duty!
Your clearance status has been UPGRADED to RED status
You will now have access to both INFRARED and RED level zones. ACCESSING HIGHER LEVEL ZONES is TREASON
In addition to increased access, you will also be given the title TROUBLESHOOTER and will be eligible to receive MISSION ALERTS. This will provide you with increased opportunities to serve Alpha Complex and to demonstrate your loyalty to FRIEND COMPUTER.
You will be moved to RED LEVEL HOUSING.
You will continue to fulfill your duties at [STATE SERVICE FIRM HERE] but your pay will be increased to meet the demands of your UPGRADED RED LEVEL HOUSING

You are 1 of 6 clones. If your clone is terminated during a troubleshooting mission, a replacement clone will be dispatched by Friend Computer at it’s earliest convenience.
Much like other less fun RPGs you have skills with numeric ratings, Unlike these other inferior games, PARANOIA players attempt to roll a number LOWER than their skill Rating.
Clearance levels follow the visible Spectrum: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue Indigo, Violet
All areas of Alpha Complex are color-coded by clearance level.
Ordinary citizens, those with no clearance level are considered (InfraRED) and are only permitted in areas painted black or grey.
